The guy was handsome and attractive, no doubt. "But Tate is much more handsome for me" A voice inside her head told her and she blushed at that thought so she shook her head and drank her coffee again.
After the guy ordered a drink, he was looking around at the cafe and Vivian rolled her eyes mentally and sighed loudly when she saw that he was headed at her direction. When he was about to sit, he called her and asked if he could sit there.
Vivian really hated the idea of a crowded cafe, a crowded long table and someone wanting to sit beside her. Vivian saw a couple near the vacant seats, and if she was that guy, she'd also sit beside someone rather than a couple.
She looked at the guy when he heard him speak. "Wala namang nakaupo dyan, go lang." She told, sounding a bit mean. Not enough to anger him or so, but enough to make him not want to sit there.
Beau was a bit irritated at when she said that but he would be too if he was in that woman's place. Who likes a crowded cafe? If Beau had other choices, he would never sit beside a stranger or at the long table. Never.
He put down the drink in his hand sat beside the her.
Instead of minding her, his mind wandered to Adelaide and want happened between them.
He did not expect their quarrel to reach this point. He remembered Adelaide's face and how she cried earlier and he wanted to beat himself because of what he did. But for him, he did not do something that bad to make her cry, it's just that she's not good at hiding her emotions. She can get swayed easily. He knows what he was doing or what he was saying, but he was annoyed at how Adelaide doesn't seem to trust him.
He saw how a lot of people were at the park today and he was worried for Adelaide. What if she gets lost? What if her condition kicks in? He was worried that no one is there to look after her. All he wanted to do is to protect Adelaide and make her stronger, but it seems like she mistook his actions.
He knew that Adelaide was a strong woman and she control manage her emotions well, but he felt like he had to lead in their. As a guy, he wanted to lead their relationship because he knew that Adelaide was still timid about them being together and he wanted Adelaide to feel secured.
His train of thought were distracted by a loud sigh from the woman beside him. This made him and look at her and their eyes met.
"What?" The woman asked him.
"Are you okay?" He asked her as he scanned her. She looks like someone around his age, but aside from that, he can tell that his woman has problems of her own.
"Why?"
"You look.... uhm, problematic?"
She raised on of her eyebrows and held her face. "Do I look problematic?" She asked with a bit of worry, and a faint annoyance.
"I mean, you look pretty. But I think something's bothering you. Don't think about something else, though. May girlfriend ako." He told her and she just sighed.
"What's with the sighs?" He asked her again.
"Alam mo, ang chismoso mo." She darted at him and he chuckled.
"Sorry, I just noticed and uh, it kinda shows." He told her and looked away again.
Vivian felt conscious about how she looked at the moment bu the though of Tate and their quarrel made her sullen again. After a few minutes, she rested her back on the chair and let out yet another sigh again, making Beau look at her.
