When you ask for my help
I try my best
I give you advice
You tell me you need me
My help, and all
But when I try to help you
It all crumbles and falls
When I needed you
You turned and walked away
You didn’t care
What I had to say
So I “got better”
By hiding it from you
I’m trying my best
To keep from drowning
To keep you from drowning
But I am failing, I see
For you do not want my help
I understand, but please
Remember
I am healing too
But it doesn’t matter
I am here for you
I will hide my pain
Like I always do
For you
