"I'm fine, (Y/n). I promise. I just spaced off, I guess..." I reassured her, scratching the nape of my neck.

"The Shouta I know never 'spaces off'. ARE YOU SECRETLY TOGA OR TWICE FROM THE LEAGUE OF VILLAINS AND NOW SINCE WE'RE ALONE YOU'RE GONNA KILL ME?!" exclaimed (Y/n), her (e/c) eyes going wide as she started to form water webs from her palms.

"NO, NO! (Y/N)! I'm fine... I'm just tired... Now, shut up before you attract some weirdos..." I said quickly, covering her mouth before she could sputter out any more nonsense.

"Mmph...!" she huffed out, taking my hand off of her mouth. "Then what did you wanna talk about in private with me?"

"I just wanted to spend some quality time with my best friend, is all... It's been so hectic with villains and students and Eri..." I said, hoping she would buy it. I originally had wanted to talk about the kiss, but after thinking about it... I wasn't sure she was going to like it.

"As much as I want to believe that, and how much that made my heart flutter to hear that my best friend cares about me... I know you're lying Shouta."

"If you wanted to spend quality time with me, then you would've sent Mirio home asap and put Eri to bed so we could chat or whatever, not the exact opposite."

"Maybe I wanted to switch things up a bit."

"Shou, you and I both know that you are way too tired and lazy to go the extra mile for this shit." said (Y/n), a small laugh releasing from her mouth, but was soon replaced with a serious expression.

"Are you trying to say that I'm too lazy to do remotely anything for our friendship?" I asked, turning to my right to face the shorter hero.

"Maybe. I. Am." said (Y/n) with daggers in her eyes and her voice filled with poison.

I stared back at her with just an intense gaze.

"Huh?"

"I'm just kidding, Shou. I know you're a hard worker and how your schedule is- hell, I live with you! HA! I can't believe you fell for some dumb shit like that! You know I love you, Shou." sniggered (Y/n) as she playfully slapped my back.

She loves...? Me...? No... she was talking about in a friendly way, you idiot. Friends care and love for each other.

"No, but seriously, why did you wanna talk to me in private?" asked (Y/n) as she calmed down from her laughing fit.

"You know, I don't think you wanna know... It's really not important... and it's getting pretty chilly and late outside, we should just go back in-"

"Shouta."

I turned around.

"I thought after being your best friend for years upon years would've meant that we don't keep stupid secrets from each other like petty high school girls." explained (Y/n), her water webs starting to produce again.

"(Y/n), what are you doing?"

"How about this? Let's have a duel. If I win, you tell me what you've been wanting to tell me all this time. If you win, we go back inside and pretend like nothing ever happened between us."

"(Y/n).. that's so childish of you. No way am I doing that."

"Oh? Is the Erasure hero too chicken to fight his best friend?"

"Fine. I'll fight you. But only to shut you up for good about this stupid conversation." I said, gripping my capture gear. Good thing I switched scarves last minute.

"Never thought the day would come that I wouldn't be fighting on the same side as you, Eraserhead." said (Y/n), a small laugh escaping her mouth.

"I as well, Hooder." I smirked as I put on my goggles. "Now, let's wrap this shit up."
