Twenty-five

Minho's POV

"Stop looking so scared" I laugh at jisung.

"Who- me? Haha nooo!" He says as sweat drips down his forehead.

"Tell that to your shiney forehead you dork"

"Hey-" he says out but calms down " ok fine, I'm a little nervous but what do you expect!"

"Just calm down, my mom's pretty chill" I say and Pat his head

Jisung leans into the touch "fine, but if I make a mistake, I'm never coming back!"

"Deal, but I bet you won't" I say confidently.

I pull into my driveway slowly. Looking over I see my mom already outside waiting.

"Oh no, she's there already" he looks down and makes a sound.

I lightly hug him "calm down it's just my mom, I promise it's fine"

"Ok" he looks up and we get out the car.

"Are you Jisung?" The women looks at him with a warm smile.

"Y-yes ma'am, it's nice to meet you!" He says hesitantly.

"Oh look at you~" she she runs my face lightly "you're so cute, come inside and have a seat!"

Jisung looks back at me and smiles and I give him a thumbs up.

"Thank you" Jisung says to my mom as she hands him some water.

"No problem, how about you tell me about yourself?" She smiles "if that's ok"

"Oh yeah sure" he seems not to mind " uh well, I live with my mom, about 10 minutes away from here, I go to the same school as Minho and my major is music"

"Oh, what type of music do you like?"

"Well, I rap, with one of my friends on SoundCloud, but I can sing a little" he explains

"Oh, that's nice" she hums at his response "have you eaten today?"

"No, but it's fine, I can eat later!"

"No I can make something quickly, min come help me" she waves me over.

"I'll be right back" I smile at jisung

As soon as I walk in my mom pokes me repeatedly "he's nice!" She whispers

"Yea, I know" I laugh

"Why don't you ask him out?" She says seemingly calling me a coward

"Well, we are technically already- but not actually i-" my mom she sighs and holds her head.

"You can't stay here all day, you guys are going out somewhere, anywhere!" She says a little bit louder "and you're going to ask him out"

"Mom you can't just-"

She looks at me sternly.

"Fine! Happy?" I say and give a fake smile

"Very" she ruffles my hair "Take him somewhere to eat, gives me time with the cats" she smiles "it's a win-win"

She pushes me out of the kitchen into the living room. She stayed in the kitchen pretending she had no idea what was happening.

"I swear-" I whisper "hey uh Ji!"

"Hm?" He looks up at me

"Let's go eat out, my mom's probably tired" I make up a quick excuse.

"Oh, sure!" he peaks behind the kitchen wall "Bye Mrs. Lee!"

"Oh, bye Jisung, come see me again, ok?" She hugs him and rocks back and forth.

When they pull away jisung agrees with a nod and waves before we leave.
