Chapter One - "The Lone-Wolf Songstress"

*(Y/N)'s POV*, near CiRCLE Live House

Ah, it's nice to take a walk during the evening.
It's not too hot out, nor is it too cold.

Hm? There's someone in the distance...
Strange. They seem like they're doing something. It's a girl... kneeling down?

As I walked closer, I heard the girl say something.

"You're so cute, aren't you? Yes, kitty?"

The girl had beautiful-looking silver hair, and she didn't notice me.

I probably look weird standing behind her.
I coughed to get her attention.

She quickly turned around and looked right at me.
Her eyes are such a sharp gold, it's almost mesmerizing.

"Wait, it's... Yukina-chan?!"
I said.

"(Y/N)-san?" Yukina-chan said back. "It's been a while."

Yukina-chan is an old friend of mine. Although recently, she's always been busy, before school and after school, so I don't get to talk to her much.

I met her at school one day, but when I happened to see her practice one day at CiRCLE, we became 'friends'.

At the time, she wasn't part of a band yet.

Two years ago...

"Minato-san, you are very, very good at singing," I told her.

"Really?" Yukina was surprised I told her that. She even seemed to blush a little.

"...Thanks," she continued. "No one's told me that before."

But we didn't really talk much after that because she joined a band, and took it very seriously.
I've always wanted to talk more to her.

Present day...

"Ha ha, Yukina-chan, what're you doing talking to cats?" I asked her.

"N-nothing. Forget it. I forgot I have a concert later. Want to come see us?"

"Of course," I excitedly said. "You guys are the best band... ever! When is it?"

Yukina-chan looked at her watch.
"Hmm... Thirty minutes."

"Th-thirty minutes?! Yukina-chan, you're gonna be late!"

"Relax, (Y/N)," she calmly said. "CiRCLE is right across the street. Also, I meant thirty minutes for practice to start."

I laughed. "Oh, Yukina-chan. Here, I'll walk with you."

"Sure," she agreed, and we began to walk.

I noticed Yukina-chan's hands were scratched up a bit. I wonder why.

"Hey, why are your hands all scratched?" I asked.

"...The cats. They scratch me sometimes," she explained.

"Ah, like the cats you were petting earlier?"

"No!" Yukina-chan began to blush, which is a rarity. "I mean, how could I not pet it? They're such cuddly fluff-balls."
