Louis came over and offered me his hand with a look of sorrow on his face. He pulled me off the ground and wrapped me in a hug.

"It's okay, man," he squeezed me tightly. "Ready to go to the party?"

I shook my head. "I'm not gonna go."

Lauren looked at me uneasily, "You should go to get your mind off of things..."

"No, I'm not in the mood to forget it. I wanna fix it and I need to figure out how I can do that."

Lauren looked at Louis and Louis looked at Lauren. "You sure?"

I faked a smile, "You little lovers go have fun. Don't worry about me."

They bobbed their heads uneasily.

"Well then see you tomorrow." They waved to me as they left hand in hand.

I shoved my hands in my pockets and kept my head down as I walked through the now empty hallway. I found my car in the back lot. Unlocking the door and sliding in, I pulled away from the stadium. I had no destination in mind, so I just kept driving.

Lauren's POV

I slipped into the front seat of Louis' car and I couldn't help but grin. Even though I was sad for Liam and I knew the pain he was going through, I was excited for a night out with Louis now that we had straightened everything out.

Sure I felt guilty for leaving Liam to just go home, but Amalia, Niall, Marisa, and Zayn were leaving him behind too. We had invited him to come, but no one could blame him for denying out request.

"Are you ready to party?" I smirked at Louis as he searched for his keys in his pocket.

He just nodded, disappointing me. I was expecting a bigger reaction like a hell yes or something.

"You're not excited." I stated plainly, attempting to hide my disappointment. I was putting a really good friend's pain behind me so that I could focus on the guy I loved and he wasn't even that into it.

He shrugged giving me a non convincing smile. "Let's go get this party started."

We drove to Josh's house, which was where the after party was. As we drove through the streets, we blasted BBC Radio 1 belting out the lyrics to each song that came on. Even though I could tell Louis was distracted, he barely let onto it. I was just happy we were on speaking terms again. Heck, we were on even better terms than speaking terms.

When we arrived at the house, Louis quickly turned off the car and came around to open my door.

"Thank you," I stepped out gracefully.

He nodded.

"Alright, what's wrong?" I demanded."Tell me now before I go into this party and make a fool of myself for like trying to kiss you and then you pull away."

"You want a kiss?" his eyebrow rose as he smirked. "I'll give you a kiss." He started to lean forward, but I found myself doing something I had never thought I'd do. I turned my head sideways avoiding his lips, and placed my hands on his chest pushing him back.

"Dur I want a kiss, but I want you to tell me what's wrong." I looked up at him, channeling the best puppy dog eyes that I could.
