Riley's POV-

"You told me we were getting ready, not cleaning up your room," Sierra muttered, picking up yet another CD from the floor. Honestly, I have no idea how it got there, and I'm not sure I want to know.

Shrugging, I continued to tidy up my room, stacking books and folding clothes. I could tell that Sierra wanted to kill me for this, but I honestly didn't give a shit. These were my mother's conditions if I wanted Sierra to come over and help me get ready. And getting ready was beyond essential

Tonight, we were going to an elite party. A party so exclusive that only 40 out of 180 seniors were invited. And this year, they had invited not only us, but also Luke (and Calum, for Sierra's sake). So, needless to say, I was beyond excited.

The time was running out, so all of the sudden, I came to a halt, pushed Sierra into the shower, and tried to pick up as much shit from the floor as possible. After my room looked acceptable, I picked out two dresses and set them down on the bed.

That was when my phone vibrated from it's charging stand. I chose to ignore it, knowing it must have been someone asking for the homework. But then, my phone vibrated four more times, so I thought that they must be in deep shit if they're texting me so much. Stomping over, I picked up my phone and read the texts from the notification bar.

luke: hiii riley

luke: i wanted to um know if you and sierra wanted to hang by house

luke: calum, mikey and ash are here

luke: oh god im so awkward youre probably getting ready.

luke: ill just leave bye

I tensed up at the texts and my heart stopped for a few seconds. This couldn't be real. No fucking way. Conviniently enough, Sierra was coming out of the bathroom, drying her hair with one towel as the other one was wrapped around her chest. As she saw my tensed up position, she stopped dead in her tracks.

"Oh, what now?" She seemed hesitatnt, as if she made a move, then everything would fall through.

"Luke just texted me, and I don't want to answer back," I threw my phone on the bed as Sierra coo'ed and stood in awe at how 'adorable' we were.

"Well, answer back," She pushed and I literally laughed in her face. There was no fucking way I was gonna pick that phone back up. Technically, I never did. Sierra snatched the phone and stuffed it in my hands. "Now."

So, I did as she said.

riley: aw dont go youre not THAT awkward

luke: yea i am. shut up riley

riley: whatever, bro

luke: so like do you wanna come

luke: with sierra of course if you want

riley: we'll see you there ;)

riley: oh gOD I MEANT TO PUT A HAPPY FACE IM SORRY

riley: :)

"I have officially decided that I will be forever alone," I rose my hands, shaking my head at my own stupidity. How the fuck can someone hold so much awkwardness inside of themselves.

"You're a dork, but now we have to get ready even faster so let's go," Sierra dragged me into the shower and then left, saying that she was going to blow dry her hair as fast as possible.

The amount of time I spent in the shower was unknown to me- all I know is that when I came out, Sierra wasn't done blow drying her hair. Luckily for her, I had washed my hair that morning, therefore the only thing I needed to do was straighten my hair.

My own dress was strapless and black, that was tight all the way down to my waist, after that, it fell loose like a skater skirt. Sierra's dress was a bright red, also strapless and also tight until the waist, but hers didn't poof out as much.

Snatching my phone and make up bag, we slipped on our heels and ran out of the house. My mother was confused towards why we were in such a hurry, but she wasn't my main problem at the moment. I started the car and threw the phone at Sierra, who complained about how that would form a bruise by tomorrow. Rolling my eyes, I ordered her to check my texts with Luke for the address.

Luke's house was big, and his front lawn was giant. There were two cars already parked there, so we just stopped the car right behind them. Sierra and I checked out make up and once we were near perfection, we got out of the car.

Seemingly, they had seen us pulling up because before we were even at the door step, Michael had come out and was awaiting us. He hugged Sierra first, mumbling something into her ear and making her laugh. Meanwhile, our hug was more fraternal, since I thought of him as a brother.

Next was Ashton. I never really got along with Ashton because I never really talked to him, though, I do have to admit that he seemed like a nice kid to hang around. Calum was after him and Calum and I hugged tightly.

Luke and I embraced each other, but it was a bit awkward. It felt as if we were hiding a secret from each other, but everyone in the room knew what it was. He murmured as we hugged,"You look great,"

"Thanks, Luke," I smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Sierra was talking to Calum, and judging by her widened eyes, he had just said something horrendous. She covered her mouth and walked over to me, linking arms and dragging me towards Calum. Luckily, I was able to catch a hold of Luke's hand and pull him with me.

"Tell her what you just said," Sierra ordered, rolling her eyes at the smiling Calum. Luke was still holding my hand, and not only that, but he had intertwined his fingers with mine. This couldn't be happening. No way.

It was difficult to focus back on Calum, but as soon as I did, I regretted it. "I asked her if she had a gag reflex because she would be needing it later."

I scoffed, trying not to laugh for Sierra's sake. Instead, Luke just began to cover his face with his free hand as he chuckled at the comment. "Calum, you would ask that."

"You see? Even your best friend admits it," Calum pointed towards me and Sierra just rolled her eyes, death glaring me for a few moments. Ashton came into the picture, hugging Sierra from behind, his arms around her shoulders. I could tell that Calum was trying to not look envious, but it wasn't working out.

Michael suggested, popping around and standing in between Luke and Calum. I couldn't help but turn all my focus onto the hand that was being held by Luke. It was fucking adorable. "Shall we party?"

"We shall," Ashton spoke, letting go of Sierra and allowing her to fix her hair. Calum went out the door first, stomping and grumbling.

Oh Michael, we shall party tonight.
