"Come in!"

Jonathan steps into my office with his head lowered. I know he knows that this isn't a good time especially since I have a meeting in an hour with my friend and his company acquaintances.

"I'm sorry to inform you Mr. Blackwood-"

"What is it Jonathan, I haven't got all day!" I look him dead in the eye and he knows for sure I'm not in the mood, I haven't had my coffee, my assistant isn't here and I was late for one of my meetings that my assistant should have told me about. This is not the time to fuck about, especially with me that is.

"Your assistant hasn't arrived sir," nathan (johnathan) sighs as I rub my temple to soothe my already painful headache.

"Alright find me a new one, raise the salary, I need them here by tomorrow at ten"

"Yes sir," he walks out my office and closes the door, leaving me in peace once again. Its only eleven in the morning but it sure feels like I've been here for days. I pick up my phone off my desk and ring my assistants number.

"Hello?" the familiar voice of my assistant answers, unlucky for her.

"Your fired!" I shout through the phone and wait for the plead.

"Please sir, I need this job!" she begs me some more but I really couldn't care less.

"You didn't turn up to work and didn't inform me or Jonathan" I bluntly reply, hoping for this conversation will end.

"I'm very sorry sir, I-" I cut her off completely and the call ends, I couldn't stand her anyway, never could she was always trying to get close to me, kiss me and try to do other stuff. I hate it. I couldn't care less about her or her excuse. I haven't got time for it, I'm a very busy man.

Ever since I took over this company two years ago, I've been going from assistant to assistant. I don't bother to learn any of their names because they aren't here long enough for me to care. Everyone in this building is scared of me, they fear me, none of them dare stand up to me or they loose their jobs, I haven't got the time to care or be bothered to deal with them at all.

All I want to do is work, I haven't got time for relationships ( not that I want to be in one either) I get here at seven and leave at seven, go home watch tv, eat and sleep that is my daily routine, five days a week. Monday-Friday. Never gets old. Does get very tiring tho.

My assistants can never keep up, their too busy staring at me and trying to get with me, everyone knows I don't want a relationship. Just because I have money, most girls try to get with me but I'm not having it, or any of them for that matter. I just need an assistant who just gets on an doesn't care about that I'm a billionaire and that I'm the richest guy in the country. But there aren't any woman like that. I guess.

"Here you go sir, can I get you anything else?" Mr. Jonathan is a regular customer, he comes in every morning to get his breakfast and coffee to go, although today he came here twice. Which is strange because that never happens. Usually he is here at six, the time we open and on some days Mr. Jonathan comes down at seven for dinner but rarely.

"No thank you Blair dear," he smiles and as usual over tips me, "here you go Blair". Mr. Jonathan's phone begins to ring, again and this time he decided to pick it up. "Can you keep hold of these for a second for me please darling!" he answers the phone straight away and walks outside. Whilst I pick up his Black coffee with two sugars and his usual caramel latte, I tend to and take the order of another customer.

I have a degree in business and all the requirements to run a company, but it's just the money. I work as a waitress here at 'The Coffee Cup' . Sometimes I work short shifts like from six till two but because I'm the only waitress now I work from six till eight. The owner here(Wendy) is soon retiring because she is sixty three and wants to retire in the next few months, I wouldn't blame her, running a business with only two waitress and one chef isn't exactly easy when the chef takes two days off every week. This means I do both serving and cooking, which means on these days the money comes in slow.

I've been looking for a business job for a while now and only hope that an opportunity like this will come. I promised Emily that when I take over this company she'll still work here.

"Thank you, have a nice day!" I wave as the man leave the cafe. Not long after Mr. Jonathan walks back in . He keeps on reminding me to call him Nathan but sometimes I forget.

"Thank you so much Blair," he smiles again as I hand him, his drinks hoping they aren't too cold or hot. "Blair, you know you mentioned about finding a job in business?" he questioned.

"Yes I did, I'm still searching though," I sigh as another two customer waltzes in. "One second Mr. Jonathan,"

"Just call me Nathan please-" I look at him and just nod my head remembering to take a note of that in my head. "Text you later," he does a 180 and walks out the door.

The two people came closer to the counter and I was already ready for lunch even though it's twelve and my break isn't until two. Damn I should have eaten before I came to work.

"Hi what can I do for you today sir and madam?" I sweetly ask the young man and woman in front of me. They seem to be determined teenagers, I suppose.

"Good morning!" the young boy says, "We are here to apply for the two position openings available" they chirped. Now I remember Wendy told me a two people were arriving today for the jobs, this means that I can finally have the day off, seeing that I haven't had one in almost a year.

"Oh right , please follow me!" I state and lead them to Wendy's office. I went back to serving customers and after a few of the locals the two teenagers walked out with smiles on their faces, I'm guessing they got the job, presumably.

"Um excuse me, are you Blair, boss said she would help us out?" the girl asks. I just nod my head and that is how the rest of my day went.

Emily came in at one and managed the counter as I showed and taught Ruby and Caleb all that they needed to know. It turns out Caleb came to cook and Ruby to help serve. I am pretty glad that they are here because that means work isn't so hard.

By the time six has come around I am exhausted, exhausted is an understatement really.

I slowly pace up to Wendy's door and quietly knock, making sure not to scare her. Because I really don't want that not for her, she is like a mother to me.

"Come in !" I hear her say knowing that it is okay for me to enter.

"Blair my favourite employee, what can I do for you?" she is asking me so I know I must ask.

"Hello Wendy, I was wondering whether I can have the day off tomorrow?" I going to cry if she says no because I need one day to recover somehow.

"Of course you can, take a few days off actually, now that Ruby and Caleb are here, you don't need to work as much!" she laughs and so do I. If I was any other person right now then having a day off wouldn't be good but because Wendy is the best I still get paid for it, luckily.

"Thank you so much Wendy, I really really really appreciate it!" I smile so much that my cheek bones hurt causing me to stop smiling.

"Is everything alright dear?"

"Yes just I am so excited and happy that when I just smiled my cheek bones started to hurt a little," we laughed again and then she dismissed me telling me to go home now instead of eight. I'm very lucky to have her as my boss because she is simply the best. She treats me like I'm her daughter, ( which is understandable seeing as she has no kids of her own) I'm very lucky. Very lucky indeed.
