The Creepypasta Guide On Making A Good OC and more

When I'm writing this guide, I will try my best to be nice but I can't guarantee I won't curse and rage somewhere so bear with me, my readers. I will also use my horror ocs to help show you the mistakes I have made and to use them as examples too.

OK, today's topic is appearances!
Let's be realistic: No gal or guy in the whole world is born with bright PINK hair from perfectly normal human parents! If your OC has other hair colours, give a reason. Don't say "OH! She was experimented on, so she has powers that can make her beat Slenderman and his brothers, Zalgo and *gasp* GOD!"
And even if they're demons or fallen angels, they have to look human and camouflage because the government is definitely gonna want to have answers or they'll be hunted.
Give them black, brown or blonde hair. But if you want them to have dyed hair, make sure they dyed it BEFORE they went apeshit and started killing.

Eyes. I suggest you should go with blue, green, brown or any natural colours but if you're gonna give them unnatural colours like yellow or purple, think of how they're gonna hide them. Remember to say that before they go out, they put on contacts to avoid stares! If they're out killing, you can avoid making them put on contacts. Let's take Aliea as example. She's not human and has magic at her fingertips. (Next time, we'll talk about powers, OK?) So she has golden coloured eyes thanks to that. How does she even go out to buy groceries?!
Simple, really.
She uses makeup and BLUE CONTACTS.
Make sure that if you're writing about how your oc looks for victims on the street, make their appearance simple to blend in. If not, they're gonna have to sneak in others houses to get simple daily items.

Masks. Good for disguises and it helps to prevent others from seeing the killer's face! But don't make it look like Eyeless Jack's or  Masky's. Be unique! Don't be a leech and make something similar to any creepypasta. For Aliea, I was inspired by the black ooze from EJ's mask and used it on the left eye of her mask. I only took some inspiration from him and added it to mine. Can't think of what to use as a mask for them? How about animal skulls with buckles for the wearer to ensure it doesn't fall off easily? Or a traditional mask from Japanese culture or a tribal mask from Africa? Hmm?

Clothes. I swear to Azrael if you even still go with hoodies and jeans and combat boots with me telling you to try and not do that, I will send you a picture of my middle finger. If you want your oc to wear a jacket, you can give them zip up hoodies! Jackets used for winter! The top of a suit! Make sure the colours are dull and dark(try not to use black) as this makes them easier to blend in with the crowd and hide in dark areas. Don't make them bright like NEON. It'll be easier for them to be tracked down.

Pants. You can give them tights! Tights are not baggy and will least likely snag on sharp items. I personally like wearing them a lot. Or shorts that cover the thighs and high socks!

Shoes. Give em Converse, Adidas, Nike, whatever. Or if you want to use boots, give them light boots that allow them to run fast, unlike combat boots, which I heard are very, very heavy so that would slow them down A LOT.

Don't give them traits any of the creepypastas have. No cut smile, hole in mouth or no eyes. No. Just no. Make sure they stand out! If not, this might make them a.......

MARY SUE.

Don't give them skirts or shorts so short you can see their knickers. Make sure they don't look like a slut. Make sure they look a tad bit normal.

Give them accessories! Like chokers, necklaces, pendants!
But remember to have fun! Make sure YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THE DAMN DESIGN.
