Moving his arms from around my upper back to my wrists he pulled me out of the cave and called for the rest to follow, seeing more and more of the cave walls crumble.

Following his sister who had already made it out to what I assumed to be their makeshift balcony, the ground continued to shake, causing us to zig zag our way out, along with the rest of the pack who held tightly to one another.

Wyatt kept a grip firm around my wrist and my waist as we stared off into the scenery of Seabrook.

If we weren't in this current situation I would've taken a seat and just enjoy the view.

Flashing lights illuminated from Seabrook power, letting my tension decrease along with my suspicions of an earthquake.

"Gooj zegero"

Spinning around under the restraint of Wyatt's strength I followed where Bonzo had pointed to.

Zed, taking it upon himself to translate, spoke out my theory.

"Yeah. The explosion came from Seabrook Power."

"They must be testing charges for the demolition tomorrow".

"Right now at this hour?" My comment had brought out a small chuckle from my wolf friends even in the current situation.

Really though, if we had felt it from where we currently are at, the rest of Seabrook ought to have felt it too.

"Seabrook Power is the birth place of zombies" Eliza had informed the wolves, who I assume probably don't know too much about human and zombie history.

"A little lime soda mixed with some mysterious energy and then- bang!"

In attempts to frighten Wynter, my zombie friend had gotten up in her face and raised his voice.

This had gotten a reaction out of not only her, but me as well.

The small wolf retaliated with a threatening growl. While I had jumped in my spot with a tiny high pitched scream.

Some would think being friends with a zombie, especially if that zombie were the over eccentric Zed, I wouldn't have reacted as badly as I did.

We those thought wrong.

Although my reaction had been one of fear, the boy who now held my head to his chest and tightened his grip around me had a reaction filled with anger. Wyatt had sensed my genuine shock and fear.

A deep growl rumbling through his chest rang through my ears.

He bared his fangs at Zed harshly and snapped at the zombie boy, creating the gesture of trying to bite the zombie's head off.

Gripping onto Wyatt tightly, I had not done so in fear of the boy's expression of pure rage, I did so out of appreciation. Wyatt gave me comfort, even when he was threatening one of my closest friends.

But to be honest Zed hasn't exactly been a saint tonight.

Willa, who had been sick of the bickering of zombie history mixed in with angry growls, had spoken up with much authority in her voice.

"Nice story, but it doesn't concern us."

Hearing the wolf girl speak up both boys had let out a huff before turning away from each other, too distracted to connect the obvious dots I had connected in my mind.

"It does concern you. It may just sound like boring history but it does in fact concern you." I told Willa, seriousness lacing my voice.

Knowing I had indeed grabbed her attention, along with everyone else's, I had proceeded to explain. "Seabrook Power had been able to work because a mysterious energy source had given it power to do so."
