Second 'Verse, Same as the First

Start from the beginning

"Delicious," Scott murmured, lapping and slurping indecently at the side of Mitch's neck.

He was beginning to feel lightheaded on top of everything else. It felt dangerous but too good to resist. "Don't stop," he begged, and Scott's hand moved faster. I'm getting bitten and I'm about to come in my pants in an alley, he thought dazedly, but did nothing to stop it. If anything, visualizing it made it happen faster.

"There you go," Scott breathed, sensing and tasting the moment that Mitch fully lost control. He let out a shuddering moan as his body bucked and shuddered. His toes curled over so tightly that his calves and hamstrings cramped up, paralyzing him with spasms of pain and--weirdly--pleasure that made it nearly impossible to stay standing. Only Scott's weight against him and the brick behind him kept him upright.

Scott leaned back and stared at his face, a look of wonder crossing his features. The sunlight was nearly all gone now, but the strange reflective glow still lingered in Scott's eyes. It was like seeing a wild animal at night, and Mitch realized that's exactly what Scott was. He felt overwhelmed and suddenly a bit shy to meet that intense gaze.

"I didn't know I needed that, but apparently I did," Mitch said quietly, his cheeks pink now that blood was rushing to them again. "Somehow you always know--even here, even when you're not...well, not him."

Scott grinned softly, snaking out his tongue to clean up one final drop of blood. "He's a fool. Feel free to tell him I said that."

Mitch chuckled. "I'll be sure to do that."

A shudder ran through Scott's body then, something unrelated to the weather or the gentle pressure of Mitch's hand in his. He looked up at the moon and scowled. "I'm so sorry, but I have to phase now. I can switch back in a few minutes if you want to talk some more, but I should probably be going anyway. I have things that I have to tend to in my world."

"Of course," Mitch said, giving him a playful shove. The new distance between them hurt, but only a little bit. "Go howl or whatever."

Scott smiled and began to strip out of his clothes. Mitch knew he should probably move and go back inside the club but he was frozen, helpless but to stare as the body he knew so well came into view. It seemed that Scott Hoying was made to be beautiful in any universe, so long and lean and fair, dusted all over with random patterns of bronze freckles. Mitch realized he was holding his breath; it came out in a gust when Scott winked at him.

Before Mitch could come up with anything else to say, Scott began to transform. It looked painful but also extremely cool when his limbs changed shape and sprouted soft fur the color of winter wheat. In less than a minute the man had turned into a massive wolf with huge teeth and a long sweeping tail. The reflective eyes were still blue, anchoring Mitch and wordlessly assuring him that he didn't need to be afraid. This incarnation wasn't really any scarier than the vampire who had just bitten him. And neither of them were as dangerous as Scott in his human form--his Scott.

"I probably should have asked before if I could pet you, but I'm sorry, I just have to!" Mitch reached out a hand and rubbed the place between Scott's pointed ears. The wolf rumbled happily and pushed into the touch so Mitch moved his hand further, down over the massive head and along the rigid spine. He began to walk toward Scott's back hips when he became aware that the crotch of his boxers were uncomfortably damp. Glancing down he couldn't see that he'd soaked through his jeans yet, but he was scared to move too much.

Scott gave a bark that sounded like laughter and Mitch's cheeks burned with embarrassment. But the next moment, the wolf had slurped one side of his face and barked again before gamboling off down the alley where he disappeared into the magical fog that separated this place from the various universes.
