❦ BACKGROUND : — born in a wealthy family, it's quite surprising that hyeri doesn't live in the big city of seoul. and that she preferred to be and idol, instead of running the family company (we'll get on that later). her parents, especially her mom, preferred a peaceful and rather quiet city. and that's why she grew up in jeju. she only lived a brief 4 years on the island though, as they moved to san diego when she was 5. so she pretty much grew up with the 'american culture'. she wondered what her life would be if she didn't grow distant with her original blood and culture. she tried her best to learn as much as she can with the korean culture. she watched the dramas, learned the language and ate as much kimchi as she can. hyeri was greatly influenced by the music, though. which is why she decided to train to be an idol. her parents disagreed at first, as expected their eldest to run the family business. as the years grew by, they were finally convinced of the potential their daughter had and eventually, supported her. so when hyeri turned 18, she convinced (more like forced) her parents to let her move in back to her homeland. she ended up in seoul instead of jeju, as she believes it's the city where she'd be able to achieve her dreams
❦ PERSONALITY : — many would be intimidated of hyeri. especially because of her wealth and looks. but in reality, she's just actually a bean. hyeri is really open and friendly to people (which can come off as scary ngl), but when you really get to know her, you'll realize how much of a softie and scaredy person she is. the girl is literally afraid of anything and cry really REALLY easily. haters would call her 'privileged' because of her wealth and would spread rumors of her paying the company to get her in a higher rank. but really, they're just afraid of hyeri's huge potential and capability. she's not an all rounder for nothing, you know. that makes her really determined to reach the top. she wants to prove the haters wrong and to show that she's idol material
❦ LIKES : — knitting, its one of her hobbies. she sometimes knit at the dorm — dogs, she has 6 dogs back in san diego — fish cake, it's her favorite food and she literally eat it with anything. if she can, she'd eat it everyday — group activities, because she enjoys mingling with other people and getting to interact with everyone — dancing, its quite obvious but she specifically enjoy dancing a lot. it's the main reason of how she maintains a healthy figure despite eating an ridiculously huge amount of fish cakes ❦ DISLIKES : — sad movies, being someone who easily cries, she tend to avoid them — evaluations, she knows that there would be lots of it on the show, which she's not ready for. it makes her really sad to see people go and scared that she might have to leave — mess, she's a really organized person so seeing lots of mess ticks her off — arguments, she's all for peace and harmony, so drama is definitely not her cup of tea — cooking, she sucks at it so you'll definitely just see her eating instant food or getting it delivered ❦ HABITS : — pursing her lips whenever she's troubled or nervous — crying out of nowhere. whether because of too much laughter or sadness — clapping when laughing, which makes her 10x noisier
❦ FACTS : — she looks up to hyuna in terms of rapping — she's never had a boyfriend before because she's secretly scared of commitment — she has 6 dogs namely mikey, venus, harper, vine, que, and dane — she once got lost in seoul for a whole 3 hours — she's currently watching the thai drama 2gether the series — she has the biggest crush on one of her favorite artists, ruel she's been to a total of 8 countries — her family business was medicine — if she weren't training to be an idol, she'd be running the family company or be a doctor
