Me and Taylor finally arrived at the studio after being stuck in traffic for half an hour. We went into the recording area where everyone was talking about pedals and guitars.
"Y'all took your time" Hayley said "LA traffic?" Me and Taylor nodded and sat down on a spare sofa. Me and Taylor soon picked up on the conversation and gave our ideas.
Soon after, Taylor started practicing while Jeremy started to record his bit. Jeremy was the reason why I got so into music and wanted to work with it some how. I wanted to start my own band but I have stage fright and I don't have any musical talent.
Jeremy soon finished his part and started working on another song. He was in the mood to record as much as he could today and he didn't want to be distracted.
I helped Taylor get his guitar ready and set up the pedals for him.
"Can I talk to you quickly." He asked me. I nodded and followed him out the room.
"What's up?"
"We really need to tell either Hayley or Jeremy about us." I sighed. He was right. Not telling either of them was really killing me inside.
"Okay. Should we tell Hayley? That way she will leave us alone about how we should go out and that." I suggested.
"Yeah. We better do it now otherwise we'll have to wait a couple of hours before we get another chance." I nodded and we headed to a seating room where Hayley was practicing her vocals.
"Hey guys" Hayley turned to us "I'm just about to go into the recording studio if that's why you guys were looking for me."
"Uh no actually" Taylor started "we need to talk to you." Taylor shut the door and we sat down on the sofa opposite to her.
I sighed. "Me and Taylor are going out." Hayley's face lit up.
"I knew it!" She exclaimed.
"You can't tell Jeremy though. Okay?" Taylor quickly said.
"Why?"
"We're scared of how he'll react." I said softly.
"I'm sure he'll be fine with it but you have to tell him soon." As soon as Hayley finished her sentence there was a knock on the door. "Come in!"
"Taylor, we need you in five!" We heard a man say through the door. I couldn't tell who it was but he soon left before Taylor could even say okay.
"I better go but after I've recorded this bit, should we all go out for lunch?" Taylor suggested.
"Yeah sure. Sounds great." I smiled at him and Hayley nodded. Taylor gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and left the room, closing the door behind him. I looked over at Hayley who was smiling like mad.
"What are you smiling at?"
"Nothing." She turned her attention to her phone.
"Well I'm stuck with you until it's your turn to record so you might as well tell me." She looked at me and she had the same smile.
"I just didn't really expect that you and him would actually go out! I knew something was up but I didn't know exactly what." I smiled at what she said. "Tell me how it all started then!"
I told Hayley about our car trip and where we had dinner and what happened then. "You have to promise you won't tell Jeremy. I'm going to tell him soon but I don't know how. I mean I'm not going to go up to him and say 'oh hey Jeremy I'm dating your best friend hope that's okay'."
"You don't have to do it alone. I could come with you and Taylor would be there as well." I sighed. I did feel like I had to do it alone but Taylor would want to come as well and it would be nice for Hayley to support me and Taylor as well.
