-Chelsea's POV-
It was finally time for the first show of Monumentour. New Politics were the support band while Paramore went first, then Fall Out Boy. Right now everyone's getting ready for sound check. I helped tune the guitars and the basses; making sure they were the right tuning for the songs.
Paramore were doing sound check first. The venue soon filled up with the sound of Ain't It Fun being performed. This is by far my favourite song from the self-titled album since it was just so catchy.
I saw Hayley coming towards me, gesturing me to come dance with her. I shook my head but she dragged me on anyway. Luckily there was hardly anyone here, just the light and sound guys with Fall Out Boy sitting on the floor in front of us.
Me and Hayley started chasing each other around the stage while the guys just laughed at us. I looked back to see that Hayley had come to a halt with a shocked expression on her face. Before I could look where I was going, I fell on top of Taylor, causing his guitar to slam into the stage, chipping the head.
I quickly sat up so I wasn't squashing him too much. "Oh my god, are you okay T?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Might need a new guitar though" he said while checking the chip in his guitar.
I quickly got off him, mumbling sorry to him and helping him up. I turned around to see the FOB guys laughing. "Hey! Someone could of got hurt!" I shouted which only caused them to laugh harder.
"But your face was great!" Joe shouted back. I felt my face go bright red so I jumped off stage and walked up to them.
"Yeah yeah, me falling on top of my boyfriend was just hilarious. I get it." Patrick was the first to stop laughing completely but Pete, Joe and Andy just carried on snickering.
Patrick engulfed me into a hug to say sorry. I've only met Patrick recently but he's one of those people that you can get along with so quickly. When I first met all the guys Patrick was the first one of then to actually give me a hug and have an actual conversation with.
"I'm sorry for laughing. You should of seen Taylors' face though." he giggled. I smiled and shook my head. We both started walking back to the stage with Patricks arm around my shoulders. I was just smaller than him so it wasn't a struggle walking like this.
Once we reached the stage, he helped lift me on to the stage while Taylor helped him get on stage. "You two should do a duet." I suggested. Hayley looked at Patrick with a grin plastered on her face. "That'll be cool."
"You should help us." Patrick said to me.
"No way."
"Yes way."
"Nope."
"Yep."
"No."
"Yes."
"Fine." I gave in as Hayley handed me a mic. Patrick connected his up while we were deciding which song to do. "We could do Still Into You."
"Maybe." Hayley thought "What about a Fall Out Boy song? I like What A Catch, Donnie and Thriller."
"What about Last Hope though?" Patrick suggested. Ideas of what song to do went on for a while till Pete finally got frustrated with us, shouting "Just do Save Rock & Roll!" The three of us looked at each other and agreed.
As the tech crew were setting everything up, Taylor swapped with Joe for guitar since Taylor didn't know the song and Andy stepped in for drums.
Once everything was set up, Patrick sat down at the piano, adjusting the mic stand a bit and was ready to play. Everyone was ready and soon the piano started filing up my ears with Hayley singing as well. Soon Patrick came in singing the verse. I was jealous of their voices. The way their voices hit the notes so easily and without any mistakes either.
Soon enough it was my turn to sing the chorus. I was so nervous that I was shaking like a leaf. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and just let the music wash over me.
"No,No!
Wherever I go, go
Trouble seems to follow
I only plugged in to save rock and roll
Rock and roll"
Then came in Hayley and Patrick, harmonising with me.
"No!
Wherever I go, go
Trouble seems to follow
I only plugged in to save rock and roll"
As the song went on, I got comfortable on stage and started belting out the lyrics; moving around more. Eventually the song ended and everyone started clapping/cheering. Taylor jumped up on stage, engulfing me in a hug. "You were so good!"
"Thanks T." I pecked him on the lips while setting down the mic. Patrick and Hayley came over to me, congratulating me. "You're a good singer." Patrick complimented.
I started blushing. "Compared to you two, I'm nothing." I said, looking down at my shoes. "You're kidding me, right?!" I heard from behind me. I turned around to see Tommy with a huge grin across his face. "You sounded like a professional!" By the time everyone had complimented me on my singing, I was as red as Hayley's signature hair colour.
"This needs to happen tonight. You three should really perform it." Tommy suggested.
Great.
- Authors note -
Okay, everyone knows I suck at updating but at least I'm carrying on with this story. I might write more this week or next. Hopefully there will be a few more chapters up before the summer holidays have finished.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter anyway and vote if you did!
