"I'm assuming you're in for anger issues as well?" I chuckled.
"Fuck you." She spat.
"You'd like that wouldn't you." I teased, which made her even angrier but I just couldn't help myself.
"In your dreams." She scoffed.
"I'll be waiting then." I replied with a smug smile. She just rolled her eyes and I was happy I got the last word. I looked around, not exactly sure where we were going. We were walking down the street, expensive looking stores lining up both sides.
"Where are we going?"
"I know where I'm going, but I hope it's no where near you." She said, still in a bad mood. Wow, she really did have anger issues.
"You know I was just joking right?"
"Aww did I hurt your feelings?" She fake pouted, obviously not caring about my feelings.
"As a matter of fact you did. So that means you have to buy me a drink to apologize." I wiggled my eyebrows. She just rolled her eyes in response.
"Aw come on. One drink then I'll leave you alone."
"No." She shook her head as she picked up the pace.
"Why not?"
"I don't know you. I don't even know why you were at Golden Gardens. You could be a sex addict or a murderer for all I know."
"I'm Niall Horan." I replied offended.
"And an idiot." She smirked paying no attention to me reaction.
"Now you owe me two drinks."
"Wow."
"That worked didn't it?" I smirked.
"No, I didn't know someone could be so stupid."
"Well you could be a little nicer." I rolled my eyes.
"Whoops." She replied sarcastically.
"Buy me two drinks and I'll leave you alone." I tried to make a deal.
"So you're flirting with me so I can buy you alcohol?" She raised an eye brow.
"Pretty much yeah." I decided to be honest.
"How charming." She chuckled as she walked into a convenience store. I followed her to the back refrigerators, glad my plan worked.
"Pick your poison." She motioned at the beers, coolers, and other alcoholic drinks. I almost laughed at the irony.
I grabbed a bottle of vodka and a nice cold beer since it was a little warm out. She grabbed a beer as well and we made our way to the front to pay for it.
"I owe you one." I said as we walked out of the store and felt the familiar burn of the alcohol down my throat.
"Glad I could help." She clinked her bottle against mine.
"Well I guess this is good bye."
"Thank god."
"How does it feel being used?" I joked.
"As long as you're leaving I don't care." She flipped me off before turning around and walking away.
I laughed as she swayed her hips obnoxiously. I turned around only to bump into. I looked up at a guy who was taller than me by a foot. He had his arms crossed and from behind him Sean stepped out looking very unhappy. Sean grabbed both bottles from me.
"Let's go and don't try anything else." He said before turning around and walking back toward the rehab center. Another big guy had the girl over his shoulder kicking and screaming. I smirked as she passed by and she just flipped me off. An exciting start to the worse few months of my life.
Back inside, they put us in a room that resembled a jail cell. A lady walked in, smiling. If anything the smiling didn't help, it was annoying as fuck.
"Well as you can see, since we've got a pair of runaways, you are being held in one of our special rooms. You break the rules, then you must face the consequences. My name is Karla. I run this fine rehabilitation and psychiatric center and I want nothing but success for all my patients, so lets set some ground rules. You are not to leave this center at any time unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No cell phones or social media. No disrupting the other patients. No alcohol. No drugs. And definitely no sex."
She kind of surprised me by being so blunt. I tried to suppress a smile. The rules felt more like a challenge than anything else. The girl rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"Am I clear?" Karla asked coldly.
"Crystal." The girl next to me replied with a smirk. Karla glared at her before she continued talking.
"Since both of you are so young, you will be joining people your age to help with your healing process. Having some friends might help. That's on the the top floor. Your parents and loved ones will be here to say good bye. Enjoy your stay. Everyone who walks into Golden Garden Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Center walks out with a sense of purpose." Karla said, before walking out.
"Cheesy as fuck." I chuckled remembering the last line. The girl chuckled a little.
"So I still get no name?" I asked, facing her. She hesitated awhile before replying, "Alli."
"Nice to meet you."
"Wish I could say the same about you." She said before sitting down with her back against wall. I laughed a little, not surprised with her response.
"What are you in for?" She asked after a few seconds of silence.
"Having too much of a good time."
"So drinking?"
"Yup pretty much." I nodded. She didn't say anything after that. She didn't need to especially after what happened earlier. Life sucked, and it was hard to believe a place like this could fix us.
The start of it all. Hope you guys like it. Love you guys!
