Chapter 24: Vengeance

Start from the beginning

He struggled a bit, falling on the floor but it was fruitless. He let out a scream, but what was the use? There was no one who would come to his aid. He was just an audience to the massive play Juvo was about to show.

__________

The guards were called upon. They fitted each of the crew with blazions. It was a kind of suit that propelled beings incredibly fast to their destination without the recoil of acceleration or any other problem that might have occurred in the 'verse where the IMG came from.

Saaret stepped forward, "Drelary is a barren wasteland now. You'll have to struggle quite a bit to find anything at all. Still, best of luck." He waved them off.

They shot out of sight in the next instant. And following that, the present iteration of Saaret disappeared.

__________

On a different world, new beings all from the same order were arriving. Saaret greeted them and followed protocol. They were taken away through another portal, but this time he changed the destination.

He asked them to shut their gazes off. They followed. "Juvo awaits you all." Though they didn't see his face, a smile was evident. "Stepping off this portal, you shall arrive on his ship."

He knew of Juvo's location but disclosing it to the IMG would break the path that it all was to go on. And how could he know where Juvo was? He was not dead. He should have no data of him. And yet he did. Little had marvelled Saaret over the eons. This was one of the moments. Some things were happening which he could not comprehend to explain. Yet they were happening. All according to the plan even Saaret was oblivious of.

__________

In the dark hall beings came one by one. Juvo couldn't contain his exhilaration any further. He stretched his lips to his ears in a Chelsea smile. His humanoid form becoming more and more incoherent as it changed into something devilish. He was never a human. But he was turning into something no one could ever be. And he cherished that fact.

"RISE, VENGEANCE!!"

As they all accumulated into the space they hailed cries about Juvo. Of valour and of dignity. His followers were blind to anything else beside conduct of their lord. They were divine worshippers to his cause. They had chosen it, and felt as if they were doing God's work themselves. But this time it was not God whom they were delivering their works to. It was to beings even more supreme. It was, to the Creators.

"WE SHALL SEE THE LIGHT!" Juvo held his hand high!

They repeated and roared with him, "WE SHALL SEE THE LIGHT!"

__________

They arrived on Drelary. The monstrous heaps of buildings were intimidating. "This place looks even more messed up than Remanisis," said Markus.

As their feet touched down, bricks crumbled underneath their footwear. The sight was haunting. The smoke had settled but the ruins were left as they were when the attack was carried out.

Sharlotte started walking toward a fallen temple when she noticed something. "Hey, look at this," she called the others.

In the broken bricks there was one that had somehow managed to stay whole and on it, there was an embedded symbol. The same could be found on the other bricks too, but none showed it in its full form.
