Reader's POV

I smiled as Shinso showed me his drawing.
"It looks good,"
I encouraged happily.

It was a sketch of what he wanted his hero costume to be.
After hard times in middle school with Shinso, I got him to go after his dreams again.

People called his Quirk made for a villain.
I didn't believe that.
I mean, use common sense.

I sketched out the one I wanted for mine.
He looked at mine, then tried to not burst out laughing.

I poked his side.
"Laugh, Shinso, ya know you wanna," I told him.
Then, as he glanced more carefully at it, he did.

I chuckled.
"What is that on your head?"
He asked in between his laughter.
I burst into laughter as well.

Sadly, we didn't get into Class 1-A or Class 1-B.
Shinso got into the General Department in Class 1-C, and I...

Got into the Support Department in Class 1-H.

Don't get me wrong, I've always had a passion for making equipment, I made Shinso's hero costume, even if he won't need it now...
But I wished to be in the same class as him.

Mei wrapped her arms around me, squeezing me into a hug.
"This will be so much fun!! Let me show you all my babies!"
She exclaimed.

"B-Babies?"
I asked.

"Babies!! Here!!"
She shoved a silver ring into my hand.

"What does it do?"
I asked, putting it on my finger.
Then, I started floating.

"Holy shit, Mei! This is so cool!"
I exclaimed, stunned. Only that I started to float higher... and higher.
And I couldn't get it off my finger.

"Mei?"
I called out in panic.

She still had the amazed look in her eyes.
"Mei!"
I shouted once more, holding onto the ceiling the best I could.

"Oh! Right,"
She smiled.
"I need to adjust that. Press the button,"
She added.

I looked at the ring, and did as she said. Only to fall.
And I expected a comforting place to land, yeah?

No.

I fell down on the hard ground. No Prince or Princess around to save me.
Oh so sad.

But, Shinso did walk in right after I fell.
"Perfect timing,"
I said sarcastically.
