"jesus, y/n. just- just hold on, okay?" gaz grunts breathlessly, hauling your half-limp body.

oh, dear. not good. not good at all. blood soaked the grass, making it an awful brown color as the light that made the green so vibrant mixed with the awful sticky crimson that poured from your torso. your half-lidded eyes flickered as you let out a forced chuckle, a bead if sweat dropping from your cheek and onto your stained shirt.

"it's okay, gaz. i'm okay," you softly said.

"no. NO! god fucking damnit, you are not okay! THIS is not okay!" she hollered, breathing heavily through her teeth as you reached her backyard.

"shh. they're going to hear you. we don't want both of us dead," you whispered, your voice raspy and shallow.

"you're- you're not going to die." she growled back, her eyes wide open.

you smiled, closing your eyes. when did this start? Dib had raised the dead, for the 3rd time in a row, you might add, but this time, it was BAD. Zim found the perfect idea to put a spell on them, turning them from Dib's side; to Zim's side. and let's just say, it did not work out well. the zombies went full feral. not even they, listened to their dictator.

your flesh ripped and twisted, the huge gap that was already planted in your ribcage opened even deeper as Gaz hastily dragged you back farther, gaining a 'fuck!' from you as she finally dropped to the ground, gasping for air.

you lifted an arm, caressing gaz's cheek as she despairingly looked at the ground.

"you're not going to die," she repeated like a prayer.

"it's okay. it's gonna be okay." you breathed out, the numbness starting to swallow your lower half.

tears started to fall from her eyes, splattering onto her knees as her shaky hands wrapped around your cold one on her face. she sniffed, closing her eyes as your chest slowly rose and dropped rythimatically . your lips faded into a blank line, emotionless as your eyes grew dim.

she wrapped her arms around you, pulling you close as she sobbed silently, the sun shining down on the blood soaked ground next to her.

"i love you."

but it was too late, you had stopped moving, stopped breathing, stopped living.

and she'd never get you back.
