ALEX
Yeah, she's changed her name to Mini-Mike, haven't you?
Charlie giggled, whilst May-Li gave Alex a warning look. But smiled at him none the less.
MAY-LI
So, what brings you both back to the madhouse?
CHARLIE
Well, I just thought I'd pop in and say hi to everyone. Tell you all about my travels... ..but mainly to get the rest of my stuff. And Grandad's.
ALEX
Yeah, and I've been dragged back against my own will.
Charlie lightly elbowed Alex in the chest, in a playful way. May-Li smiled at them both.
MAY-LI
Well, as I said. It's great to see you.
The office phone started ringing.
MAY-LI
Oops, sorry. Better get that.
May-Li rushed back into the office to answer the phone. Charlie and Alex smiled at each other, and looked around the room, admiring their old home.
SASHA
May-Li! There is absolutely no way in hell, I'm cleaning that bog up there!
Sasha came stomping down the stairs but she froze for a moment. Pleasantly surprised to see Charlie and Alex, standing there in the hall.
SASHA
Charlie?!
CHARLIE
Sash.
SASHA
What're you doing here?
CHARLIE
Oh, and it's nice to see you too(!)
Sasha came down the stairs to give Charlie a hug.
SASHA
It's great to see you!
CHARLIE
You too!
Charlie and Sasha stopped hugging and smiled at each other, whilst Alex stood there feeling a bit invisible.
ALEX
Don't I get a hug?
SASHA
Do you want a hug?
ALEX
Nah, you're alright.
SASHA
Rude.
ALEX
Look who's talking.
Sasha laughed.
In the office, May-Li was still on the phone, bickering. It was Scott, phoning.
MAY-LI
You can't seriously expect me to just drop everything?
Yeah, but there are still two kids here to look after. And I can't exactly bring them with me...
May-Li glanced out of the office, at Charlie and Alex.
MAY-LI
Actually, scrap that. I'll come and help you out.
Yeah. I'll be there as soon as.
Ok, see you shortly. Bye.
May-Li hung up the phone, grabbed her handbag and car keys and rushed back out of the office.
SASHA
(to May-Li) Why didn't you tell me these two were back?
CHARLIE
We've only just got here.
MAY-LI
I was just as in the dark as you were. Anyway, shouldn't you be scrubbing that toilet? You're on bathroom duty.
SASHA
Yeah, there's no way I'm touching that toilet.
ALEX
Where you off to?
MAY-LI
Oh, that was Scott.
CHARLIE
(to Alex) Who's Scott?
ALEX
New care worker.
