TLOA12 | 14 : Surfaced Lies

{ Anyela Miliana Thomas }

I walked out of the classroom with a smile on my face. After learning that my last class was cancelled I was the happiest woman in the world. It gave Rina and I time to go over the last few touches of her wedding. We were currently on our way to her wedding planner's office both of us in separate cars since I didn't want to leave my car on campus. We pulled up the office and got out of our cars making sure we had everything in our hands before locking the doors.

"You think she'd be mad if I move up the wedding day?" Rina asked with uncertainty. Ever since Ty started holding out on her she's never been acting like her loud goofy self. I almost accidentally told her it was her fault for telling him that she wanted to move the wedding date for the next year. He didn't think she was joking and was now holding out on her until the honeymoon.

"Rina stop being ridiculous." I said holding back my laugh. It seemed like she was going through withdrawals while Tybalt was perfectly fine with not having sex. It was funny to watch.

"It's my wedding so she can't say anything if I move it up. Fuck her." I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and gave her a sad puppy dog face.

"You miss it don't you?" I asked trying to seem as sad as possible. I was holding back the laugh that wanted to come out by the look of her face.

"Yes! Plus he sleeps naked and always cuddle up against me. You know how hard it is to not rape him?" With her body language you'd think she was a crack head that haven't had her daily fix. It made me wonder if I looked like that whenever I couldn't have sex for a period of time.

"It'll be okay. It's only three more weeks. Three more weeks until I get my real Rina back." She rolled her eyes with a smile on her face. The wedding planner stepped out of her office following another client and smiled at us.

"Hello Karina. Hello Anyela." She said hugging the both of us as we stood up. We both returned her greeting with a smile. "So what brings the beautiful bride to be to my office?" She asked us while we were walking down the corridor.

"I just wanted to discuss the finishing touches of the wedding." I sent a mental thank you to God for taking the thought of moving up the wedding out of Rina's head. We walked into Nancy's office and we sat in the seats across from her desk.

"Did you find a priest?" She asked while typing away on her computer.

"No, but my pastor is ordained and he agreed to perform the ceremony." I said while giving Nancy his name and number so she could contact him.

"Great, your appointment with the courthouse is for next Friday at three. That was the latest they'd let me schedule you for. Don't forget the marriage prep completion paper, your ID, social security card and a certified copy of your birth certificate."

"I gave Tybalt that paper. His ass better not have lost it cause I ain't spent four hours in that class for nothing." The face expression that was on Rina's face made me want to laugh so hard.

"I have the second copy so don't worry you'll still get your discount." Halfway through her sentence my phone started to vibrate. I was going to ignore it until I seen it was Will's mom.

"Sorry, excuse me." I picked up the call and stepped out of the office. "Hey miss Erica." I said with a smile on my face. She didn't want me calling her Mrs. Mathis and I didn't want to just call her by her first name. So I always call her Miss Erica so it'll still be known that she's my elder.

"Anyela, it's been so long since I heard from you." I pouted. I never tried to go two weeks without talking or visiting her, but I've been a little caught up with life.
