"Y/N! I've been calling your name forever! You need to pay attention, we have a busy day," your manager scolds, waving her hand in your face.

"I'm sorry, Leera."

"I know you're tired, Y/N. We all are. But if you can make it through today and the next two days, we all get a break, so please don't mess this up." For a second, she seemed worried about you. Only a second. Her wrinkled brow disappears, opting for a smile as she opens the double doors that lead to the CEO's office.

"Hello, Mr. Yongho, you wanted to see me?" You bow as you step in, offering the middle aged man a polite smile.

"Sit down. Leera, wait outside," he commands, not caring enough to actually look at you or your manager.

Leera nods and steps out, closing the doors behind her, smile faltering some.

"Y/N, Y/N, Y/N, what are we going to do with you. You have a break coming up, no?" He finally looks at you after a moment of silence.

"Yes, sir," you answer, knowing he hates when you hesitate to answer.

"Yeah, I'm cutting that short. Actually, you aren't getting a break. You will need to work for the next two weeks."

"What?! Sir, you can't do this to me, I've been working nonstop for-" you sit up in your chair, ready to defend yourself.

"What did you just say to me? That I, the CEO of Interstellar Entertainment, cannot tell my artist what to do? Are you mad? I could fire you right now!"

"N-No, I'm sorry," you cower back into your uncomfortable chair, worried his threat would be fulfilled. "Please continue."

"That's what I thought. Anyways, the staff will get two weeks off, but you need to come to the building everyday. You will be keeping a log of how you use your time. I need you to make three new songs by the end of the break and practice for your comeback. That's all I'm asking. Not that hard, right?"

"No sir," you answer, face void of emotion.

"Good girl. Now go get working on your new songs. And make sure they don't suck. That's all. Oh, and don't tell the staff."

You smile, trying not to cry in front of the asshole of a CEO. "Thank you, sir, goodbye."

You walk out, Leera asking what happened. "You didn't hear?"

"No, boss has a soundproof room."

"Oh, nothing, he was just telling me about promo and how good of a job you're doing."

"I knew it. Go get to work. Your comeback is in a month. Make me proud. Remember, you have lunch with Hyunah in Incheon Plaza at 2:00 for publicity. Don't be late."

"Yes, ma'am."

Leera walks off, head held high like she was actually complimented by the CEO. But she doesn't know the truth. This job is more of a chore than any fun. I cant stand it anymore. It isn't worth it.

Yongho has blocked your ID from working on the elevators, forcing you to take the stairs anywhere you went in the building. "It's because you're getting pudgy. People don't like fat idols."

Going through the stair well door, you're glad your practice room and personal producing booth is only a floor down, on the 14th floor, because it's a hassle to get up and down 15 floors everyday. Everyday you walk up flight after flight of stairs, and it's taking a toll on your strength and energy. But anything to better yourself.
