Jaehyun handed him a pile of clothes.
"There's a few different sizes so you can try which fits the best. And you had your own training boots, right?"
They were in Jaehyun's room in the very next day. He had never been to the prince's room before, well of course not, he had to sneak in that no one in the palace knew his whereabouts. Jaehyun's room was a lot smaller than his, it was a guest room.
"Uhm...thanks. And I have boots. Can you go now?" He eyed Jaehyun expectantly. Jaehyun stared at him in question. "Privacy?"
"Ah I'm sorry. Tell me when you're ready." Jaehyun was kicked out of his own room by the princess. He went to stay by the door in the hallway.
Then Taeyong remembered he had never before undressed by himself. He couldn't reach the strings on his back.
He put the pile of clothes on a chair and went to the door, embarrassing blush covering his cheeks.
He crooked the door slightly so his other eye could see outside. Jaehyun turned to him. "Uhm- I - I need a bit—....."
"Help?" The prince filled in for him when he couldn't say it. Taeyong nodded, embarrassed.
"Only the outer layer though. T-the strings—"
He allowed Jaehyun in and turned around because it felt so weird. He felt Jaehyun's hand in his lower back.
"How much do you want me to—?"
"All. I do have a dress under of course if you were worried."
"I - I was just...making sure." Jaehyun muttered in fluster. Taeyong felt the familiar relieving loosening around his waist.
Once Jaehyun was done opening his dress, Taeyong undressed himself from the outer part of his clothing, the uncomfortable, colored and decorative part. The dress fell on the floor and he was in a white pyjama looking dress.
"I'll go n-now." Jaehyun blushed and exited the room.
Taeyong sighed. Was this really worth all the trouble? What if he would look too manly in men's clothing and Jaehyun would see through him? He was worried.
He took off his petticoat and tried on a pair of loose slacks. He tied them tightly around his waist to create illusion of a womanly waist. Then a simple loose white shirt.
He left on his green silk scarf and gloves. The clothes were comfortable and light. He saw himself in the mirror.
Jaehyun wandered back and forth through the hallway, then the princess came out the door.
"Well, how do I look?" Taeyong asked, blushing and all mushy. She shifted nervously from one foot to another. The coat was a bit too big, making her shoulders look wider than usual.
"So beautiful. Different but beautiful." Jaehyun was dazed.
"Let's go, before anyone sees me." Taeyong took his hand, pulling him through the hallways towards the practice room.
"Whoa I can't believe how much more comfortable this get up is!" Taeyong awed when they reached the practice room and Jaehyun closed the doors. He smiled at the princess who was jumping and running around the wide room.
Jaehyun took two wooden practice swords from the wall. "So what do you want to learn today?"
"Everything!" She stopped running and came back closer to him, already out of breath. "All the tricks you used yesterday. Defence and attack. Everything."
"Alright. Let's start with the easier ones." Jaehyun threw the swords at the princess but she didn't catch it — jumped and dodged it in defence. Jaehyun chuckled.
"I'm sorry~, it was too sudden." Taeyong whined, picking up the sword.
"I didn't mean to startle you. I'm sorry too."
Taeyong gulped, staring at him. "K-kiss? Then you're forgiven." She demanded, cute.
Jaehyun stepped closer and sneaked his hand around the princess's waist. He pulled her close to him and kissed her lips shortly, just a peck. After he pulled away, Taeyong's face was redder than ever.
"Shall we get to practice, Angel?" Jaehyun asked, after taking his while to admire the princess' beauty from up close. She nodded a little.
They rehearsed all the basic attack and defences first then got to the more difficult ones. Jaehyun was amazed how quickly she picked up the new sport despite not having any background from sports.
Sports weren't for girls and women. But this young princess was surprisingly enjoying getting sweaty and wearing unflattering clothing on her body.
Teaching about sword techniques to the girl felt more like hanging out with a guy friend than being on a date. He wondered if Taeyong was doing that for him that he could have fun doing what he liked and not always go along with the princess. But the glimmering spark in Taeyong's eyes told him otherwise.
The spark was real. It was obvious she wasn't faking enjoying the every second of their time together. She was curious to learn more.
"You're getting really good at this, princess." Jaehyun complimented. "But we should take a break, you look tired."
"M' not tired. I could do this all day." Ironic, she was exhausted, out of breath. She swinged the sword in the air. They had been practising for hours.
"Well, I need a break."
"Oh okay." She agreed immediately.
"I'll go get water." Jaehyun left and Taeyong sat on the bench. She hummed a song happily, taking off her coat.
Jaehyun came back and handed her a cup of water.
"Did you have fun?"
"Very much! I can understand why all men like this." She smiled like the summer sun.
Jaehyun frowned. "But you don't mind getting all sweaty?"
"N-not really. Is it...weird that I like sports?"
"I don't see why women shouldn't like sports. We're all different. Not all men like sports either." He shrugged. "Come here." He motioned for her to come closer. Taeyong shifted beside him a little, fingers fumbling together in her lap.
Jaehyun leaned to his ear to whisper: "Can I just say, those pants do justice to your butt."
"W-what—" Taeyong gasped, blushing all over, heartbeat picking up. Her face turned to Jaehyun who seemed embarrassed already of his own words.
"I'm sorry, I was really inappropria—" Taeyong hushed him, finger on the prince's lips.
"It's alright. You can talk your mind. I was just surprised...no one has ever talked to me like that before." She smiled shyly. Jaehyun fell in love with her smile all over again. Taeyong blinked slowly.
Taeyong hesitated a little before leaning in to connect their lips. A kiss full of feeling to it, full of love.
Jaehyun's hand sneaked on her thigh, Taeyong tensed a bit so he only kept his hand there gently in place. Taeyong's arms tied around the nape of his neck, humming lowly.
"Uhm— Jaehyun, do you also like me like this in slacks — in men's clothing?" Taeyong whispered, lips glimmering with saliva.
"I also love you like this. You're the same. What got you all thinking, Angel?"
"Oh I was just...thinking." Taeyong smiled happily. The puzzled look in Jaehyun's eyes went unnoticed by him.
