Y/n, at times, had no problem voicing out how she felt. It wasn't exactly a good thing, considering it got her in trouble plenty of times. But in a way Tsukasa liked that— it was entertaining (at times) and he was able to use it to his advantage.

"Gross?" Tsukasa tilted his head, feigning (or maybe not?) to be unable to comprehend what she meant. "what's so gross about it?"

"All the blood.." Y/n scrunched her face up, "it doesn't smell but it's still blood."

Tsukasa pauses before shaking his head in a comedic manner,

"Oh no no!" he stepped beside Y/n and frantically grasped her hand into his. "are you for real!?" Y/n felt her face burn up, "you don't mean it, do you??"

"Yes yes! Now stop touching me you runt!" Y/n knew her ears were a bright red, and she wanted nothing but to hide in embarrassment.

Tsukasa just laughed and let go of her hand, turning around and staring down at the blood before him in wonder.

"What's so bad about it though? It's just a liquid. And it's red! Not a bland color." Tsukasa crouched down and squinted his eyes at it. Then he let out a gasp, "Are you scared of it?!"

Y/n shrugged, already feeling the crawling shivers going up her spine for being around the sight too long. The body of the ghost was gone now, leaving a mess of blood behind.

"Yeah, probably? Why does it matter anyway," Y/n shifted on her feet feeling somewhat agitated, "it's blood. Not just water or juice."

Sakura and Natsuhiko both walked past her and began to scrub and wipe the mess. Sakura still didn't understand why Y/n liked him. She couldn't see what was so attractive about Tsukasa. Hell, how could he possibly be romantic? The thought of it was revolting.

"Ah-haaa!!" Tsukasa suddenly sang, jumping to his feet and dragging Y/n closer to the mess. "I know just the thing to get rid of your fear, Y/n-chan!"

Tsukasa spoke the words so proudly, with eyes wide in elation. She won't be scared anymore! Oh, no she won't! Tsukasa must have thought. Sakura and Natsuhiko both paused in their tasks and turned to look at the pair before them.

"Okay, so I had a gre-aat idea." Tsukasa clapped his hands together, with Y/n eyeing him warily as he spoke, "so! so! It came into my head that if Y/n-chan isn't scared of water or juice, then why would she be scared of blood?"

Sakura turned away and went back to cleaning, already knowing Y/n dug herself another hole. Why won't she learn? She's making it so easy for Tsukasa to use her as entertainment.

"So I thought hmm.. Don't you consume water and juice?" Y/n felt her stomach churn, "Maybe Y/n-chan is scared because she's never!! never ever tried blood!"

Y/n felt her feet move back on her own, but Tsukasa's hand didn't miss a beat and tightly held her in place.

"Amane always told me that it's natural to be afraid of things we don't know," Tsukasa crouched down again and pulled Y/n down along with him, "and you'll get over a fear if you face it."

Silence fell around them, with Natsuhiko and Sakura not cleaning anymore, and Y/n frantically searching her head for what to say. Not a sound was made but the tension in the air was thick. Natsuhiko could only bite his tongue, not wanting to get himself involved, and Sakura could only feel pity for the girl. Consuming someone else's bodily fluids was disgusting.

"Tsukasa-Kun, you're not supposed to put blood in your mouth.." Y/n could only say, praying that by some miracle she would change his mind. She softly let out a tense laugh and tried standing up, only to feel Tsukasa's nails start to dig into her arm.

"Well, that's too bad.. but hey, no one is here to stop'ya!" Tsukasa grinned, flashing his sharp canines, pulling her hand right into the pool of blood.

Y/n knew better than to resist. Tsukasa's anger was unpredictable and violent, and it could only escalate from here if she defied him. Y/n felt bile rising up to her throat as she felt how different the substance felt from any other liquid she's touched. And she had no power to say no.

"Go ahead, Y/n-chan," Tsukasa encouraged, his eyes deep and as black as coal, "it doesn't taste that bad, I swear."

With trembling hands, she brought her two fingers to her face, staring down at the substance that coated them. She couldn't have been more thankful for unscented blood, knowing she would have puked or passed out at this moment.

She slowly opened her mouth, her mouth suddenly feeling watery because of the bile rising up and paused. She can't.

She could only stare down at her fingers.

She just couldn't get herself to push her fingers in.

This was blood.

And not her blood but someone else's.

The thought of it made her gag, feeling as if she could throw up at any given moment—

Suddenly, she felt Tsukasa push her hand forward, plunging her blood coated fingers into her mouth.

A burst of saltiness and metallicness filled her mouth, and immediately it made her hunch over and throw it all up.

"Noo! Bad Y/n-chan!" Tsukasa scolded, rubbing her back as she emptied her stomach, "now there's a muuuuch bigger mess."

With so much emotional turmoil going on within Y/n in that moment, she could only cry. Both in humiliation and in anger. She couldn't speak or get herself to push Tsukasa's hand off her back because in some disturbing way, it felt comforting. And so she let it stay there, as tears freely ran down her cheeks.

"Get up, Y/n." Sakura's gentle voice filled her ears, "let's get this cleaned up. Tsukasa, you have to go to the broadcasting room."

"Yesss, ma'am!" Tsukasa giggles, standing up to his feet and leaving behind a puff of black smoke.

Natsuhiko was the first to stand up, smiling wryly as he walked towards Y/n,

"Leave it to us to clean this up, sorry that happened.." Natsuhiko spoke awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head. Sakura could only roll her eyes at how useless he was at comforting her.

"Don't worry Y/n, we'll get this cleaned up. You can go find something to eat to get the taste out of your mouth." Sakura could only give her the smallest smile, but it made Y/n's tears stop flowing.

It was silent again, but this time it was much more peaceful. Natsuhiko and Sakura went back to cleaning ghost blood. Yes, it was possible. Yes, it had no scent but it still had its taste which was still weird— but not everything is logical in the human and spiritual realm. Just like the ghost, the blood can fade away from existence but it would take a full day. The last thing they wanted was for Hanako to be aware of the disturbances that Tsukasa was doing. So, cleaning duty it was.

"Thank you," Y/n felt like her blood was bubbling under her skin, but exhaustion was the only thing evident in her eyes, "i'll be back as soon as I get myself cleaned up."
