Rosalie and the McClain family got out of the car, having been picked up by one of Lance's uncles and his son. They took the family van so they could transport the whole family. It was an old van, but it miraculously still managed to drive.

On the way to the McClain's grandparents' house, Rosalie took the opportunity to look out the window, discovering Cuba for the very first time. From the palm trees, the beach in the distance, the small shops, and the typical cars of this island, the girl found it all beautiful.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Asked Lance, leaning towards her.

"It is." Whispered Rosalie in a smile, continuing to look out the window.

"If you want, tomorrow, I can show you a bit of Varadero?" Proposed the Cuban, smiling in return.

"Yeah, I'd love to."

"We can come too!" Intervened Marco, a big smile, revealing all his perfectly aligned teeth.

"Yeah with Ronnie, Luis, and everyone else too!" Added Julio, one of the family's cousins, turning to his other cousins, who immediately happily agreed.

"So it's a city trip together tomorrow!" Concluded Rachel by jumping excitedly in her seat.

"Wow, so cool.." Grumbled Lance, not as enthusiastic as the others. He had hoped to enjoy a little trip in the city, alone with Rosalie, to be able to get closer to her, in a non-friendly way but of course, his family had to screw everything.

Soon the van arrived in front of the family estate. Everyone got out of the vehicle, picking up their belongings inside. The young Morgan looked at the big house.

The exterior needed a paint job, but it didn't take away the charm of the big house. Rosalie could feel the welcoming atmosphere that was emanating from it, and she was not wrong, because as soon as she followed the others, cries of joy and laughter erupted from the living room.

Lance was plagued by his little cousins jumping on him, while his siblings greeted their other cousins of the same age, and their relative and Jorge went to see the family's uncles and aunts.

While everyone seemed happy to gather again, someone came in, and not without attracting attention.

"So nobody's going to greet me?!"

Lance's eyes lit up, and in the next second, he was in his grandmother's arms.

"Abuelita!" He exclaimed in a laugh of pure joy.

"You've so much grown, you have to be your father's size now!" She smiled, walking away from her grandson and grabbing his two forearms to better admire him. "You've become so handsome, Alejandro, you must be a real heartbreaker at your school!" His grandma was the only one in his family to call him Alejandro, stating that it was her father's name and it was a shame that everybody chooses to call him Lance.

Lùcrecia McClain (born Álvarez) was a strong independent woman, with bronze-colored skin and greying hair. Her dark brown eyes reflected the kindness and generosity she showed, but also the firmness she did not hesitate to use. She was not very tall and therefore relied on her sense of repartee and cheeky talk.

He laughed softly, then beckoned Rosalie to join them.

"Abuela, I introduce you to Rosalie, she's my best friend, we've known each other since we were born and-" He didn't even have time to finish that his Abuela took the brunette in his arms.

"I remember her Alejandro! I already babysitted you both when you were little. I came to the United States to visit you for your fourth birthday." She pinched her grandson's cheek to annoy him a little.

"I'm delighted to meet you a second time Miss-"

"Ohh, you're so well-mannered! But no miss! Call me Lù or Abuela, whatever you want." Smiled Lùcrecia. " Dios, you've grown too! And look how you have become a beautiful girl! I'm sure you and-"

"Hey, Abuela! I think the others also want to say hello!" He cut nervously his grandma by wrapping his arm around his shoulders.

His grandmother looked at him suspiciously, not appreciating being cut so abruptly, but also being intrigued by the strange behavior of her grandson. Nevertheless, she said nothing and went to see her other grandchildren.

"Your Abuela is really nice." Rosalie turned to Lance with a little smile on her face. He retorted with a smile before waving his head to follow him.

"Now, time for the tíos and tías. If you don't remember their name, it's okay, we sometimes have trouble too, so call them tía or tío, it always goes smoothly."

With that, the two teenagers walked over to where the Cuban's aunts and uncles were all, sitting and chatting in the garden.
