Chapter 4

Tears ran down my cheeks "Chan" I breathed out, relieved.

My father let go and he had an angry look on his face. He was about to grab me but Chan pulled me into his embrace just as Woojin stood in between us and my father.

"I suggest you leave, before I call the police" Woojin said. My father groaned before looking behind Woojin and making eye contact with me

"I'll be back!" He stated before turning and stomping away "no you not" Woojin yelled after him. Once he was out of sight Woojin turned to me and looked sad.

I've calmed down by time he asked "are you okay?" I nodded. "Thanks for believing me!" I said with a smile pulling away from Chan, but he still had an arm around my waist.

"I dont know what I would've done if you believed him.. it's not the first time hes tried something like this.." I trailed off

"You mean you've ran away before?" Chan asked and I nodded "this is attempt number 15"

"15?!?!" Woojin exclaimed and i nodded "it's about time that excuse stopped working.." Chan said, his eyes were soft when they looked into mine.

"Our group of misfits just keeps growing doesnt it?" Chan asked Woojin with a soft laugh and that comment made Woojin smile "yeah"

I looked at him confused "what do you mean?" I asked Chan. "Well everyone in our group has been through something, that destroyed us. But we all moved past our pasts and we talk about it freely" he said as we shut the door and walked to the couch

"Changbin and Hyunjin met when they were both kidnapped. Hyunjin was about to be sold to some guy who was going to hurt him. So Changbin took a phone and call 911 and took a beating but they got out so he said it was a small price to pay"

He continued

"Jisung was kicked out of his own home when he was 12 cause he was caught kissing another boy. He was on the the streets for about a year till he fell really ill and almost died. I found him in the hospital when I was visiting Seungmin"

"Seungmin, he was shot, then hit by a car. He died on the table, but they brought him back and decided the bullet was better off staying inside of him. But that was years ago and it hasn't harmed him"

"Both my parents died. Then my grandparents took me in and I moved from Australia to Korea. Then they dropped in a dumpster after beating me to the point I almost died. Seungmin found me and hes basically my brother since his parents adopted me"

"Both my parents killed themselves thinking I was the son of Satan. And tried to take me down with them but it didn't work out" Woojin spoke this time

"Jeongin was beaten, and abused so bad he tried to kill himself and failed. And lastly, Minho was raped by another man, and he was left for dead in and ally way"

I couldn't believe what I just heard! Everyone has suffered so much

"I wanna tell them" i said and Chan's eyes widened "I wanna trust them. And it's hard to trust someone when they have secrets" Chan's eyes softened as he  wrapped both his arms around my waist

He looked at Woojin "I guess this means we're all having lunch together" they both smiled. Woojin got up and went into the kitchen to call everyone and invite them over. Then he started cooking

a hour has passed since the boys showed up. we ate food and were sitting on the couch and other chairs in the living room. i stood up

"so i have something i wanna share." i said fidgeting with my hands as i stood in front of everyone. i had all their attention, all eyes were on me. "Chan was telling me what happened to all of you. as words of encouragement, considering you guys are so happy now"

i take a shaky breath before i continue as Chan gives me a worried look

"i thought you guys deserved an explanation as to why i suddenly showed up without a warning... i ran away from my family. cause i was tired of being beat and raped... i was wondering the streets when i found shelter outside Chan's store. and that's how he found me. but my father tried to take me back today and told Chan lies cause he's desperate to get me back before i go blabbing his deepest and darkest secrets.." i chokes out the last parts as i pulled my long sleeves over my hands to wipe the tears away from my cheeks

just then i felt someone wrap their arms around me. i look up to see Jeongin, and right behind him was Minho. "no one should ever go through something like that, its torture, believe me we've been there, but you're safe with us" Jeongin said as tears threaten to fall from his own eyes

then Minho took his turn in hugging me "if you ever need someone to talk to we're all here for you! you're safe with us!"  then Changbin and Hyunjin came and hugged me saying some encouraging words and ending it with "you're safe with us!" then Woojin "you're safe with us!" Jisung "you're safe with us!" Seungmin "you're safe with us!" then Chan, oh my precious Chan

he wrapped his arms around my waist and smiled down at me before placing a small soft kiss on my lips. followed by 'ooooo' and 'awwww' i blushed at the public display of affection. 

"if he ever lays another finger on you i will personally kill him and go to jail for you, cause i love you so much Felix. you're the only star my galaxy needs. and don't ever forget that this is a safe house for the hurting. you are and always will be safe with us"

i smiled at him as all the sweet words cause tears to fall down my cheeks
