I tried to be brave, I tried to stand tall,

tried putting my head up high,

tried locking it all away.

Tried blocking up all the memories

I tried it all.

I tried getting on my knees and pray, asking God for forgiveness,

I tried, and I tried, so why are all the dark memories coming back?

I know I'm not perfect,

I know I'm a sinner, all I want is a second chance

Is that too much to ask?
