The Stars Amongst Us [2yeon ff]

After breakfast I drove to work again. 

It was the same as usual, piles and piles of work, endless hours at my office, one short break, and of course Jaehyun abusing me.

“Let me go!” I shake my arm out of Jaehyun’s grip, he scoffs and gives me a creepy smirk. He walks closer to me, closer to me than what I’m comfortable with.

“You will be mine, just wait.” he whispers in my ear while moving my hair behind my ear. I felt his breath brush against my ear, it sent shivers down my spine.

I push him back and he straightens his white button up shirt, “I will marry you.” He says before walking away.

I sigh then walk back to my desk to get my mind off of him. Hours later I looked at the clock and my shift was ending. I stood up, packed my bag, said goodbye to the guard at the lobby, and got into my car.

Before I drive off I looked on my phone for a few minutes before remembering that there was no food at home for dinner. I took the keys out of my pocket and started the car, then driving to the grocery store on the way back home.

When I parked my car outside of the store I walked inside and looked through all of the aisles for ideas for dinner. I got into the part of the store where all the meat was when I remembered that Jeongyeon liked meat. 

I looked through the aisle looking for meat Jeongyeon might like, I settled on some steak because I knew a good recipe for steak. I grabbed two steaks and a package of bacon for breakfast.

I bought the rest of the ingredients for the steak and went to the cashier. Bringing the 2 bags full of ingredients to the trunk of the car then driving my way back home.

Opening the front door I see Jeongyeon’s clothes folded and on the couch. I ignored that she was outside doing whatever and just went to cooking dinner. As I waited for the steaks to marinate I watched some of my favourite shows.

20 minutes later I started to cook the steaks, the smell of the steaks engulfed the house and the sizzling sound was hypnotizing, I could listen to it all day. I also cooked some asparagus and plated it for Jeongyeon and I.

“Just in time.” I say as I heard the front door open. I place the food on the table and Jeongyeon puts on her clothes then sits at the table.

Jeongyeon POV

I looked at the food in front of me. I smelled it and I knew it was steak, with what I think is asparagus. I never had asparagus. The steak looked different than what I’m used to, it was darker and the smell was different. 

I picked up my fork and stabbed the dark meat, juice started to flow out which was weird to me. I lifted up the meat and took a big bite out of it.

I was flooded with flavours I never tasted, it was a whole new thing I just had, I couldn't explain what flavours the steak was even if I tried. It was also warm, it felt nice.

“Do you like it?” I looked up at her when she said that and nodded. 

Just before I knew it, I ate all of the steak. All that was left was the asparagus. I poked it with my fork before stabbing it. I sniffed it then I took a bite out of it. My reflex kicked in and I spat it back out.

“Do you not like asparagus?” She asks me while eating her steak. 

“No.” I tell her.

“It’s ok. Was steak enough food for you though?” I nod and stand up, “I’m going to head out again.” 

“Ok, be careful.”

“I will.” I walked outside and took off my clothes, then ran back into the woods.

Nayeon POV

I waited a few minutes before going outside and picked up Jeongyeon’s clothes which were folded and in front of the door.

I headed back inside and took a shower before going to sleep in my room.

I woke up to my alarm and I turned it off before turning to the other side and seeing Jeongyeon beside me, cuddling her pillow and wrapped in the furry blanket.
