I look at you after the argument ends. You smile, and for a moment, everything around me fades.
It feels like it's just us in the universe, and that your eyes are made to look at mine.
I inhale and run to you. You hold me tight...
Too tight, that the bruise you gave me before starts to hurt.
The memory of your fist colliding with my delicate skin crashes on me, and I freeze, aware of the monster you can be.
I search your face, but you continue to smile, but I can't seem to smile too.
