bill turned around to face stan.

stan was facing the wall.

even though there beds were apart, bill could see stan.

"i'm fine, you should go to sleep."

stan turned off the lights.

bill turned them on again, since he had them on his side too.

stan looked over at bill irritated.

he turned it off.

bill turned it back on.

"uh- i...

"bill stop it!"

stan yelled.

bill pushed himself back into the wall.

"i... uhm..."

"nothing bill, go to sleep okay? i don't want to talk right now."

stan said turning off the lights.

bill stayed up not laying down.

stan noticed he didn't hear a sound.

he turned the light back on.

he saw bill sitting there not moving.

"what's wrong?"

stan asked staring at bill.

"i'm... im afraid of the d-dark."

"oh, i-i'm sorry bill."

stan turned the light on.

"we can leave it on okay?"

bill nodded.

stan plopped onto his bed.

bill still didn't fall asleep.

"stan are you muh-mad at me?"

"what?"

"are you mad at m-me?"

"i'm not mad, i'm just tired."

"i know but it feels luh-like you are."

"no."

"okay then, good night."

"good night bill."

bill went to sleep.

stan couldnt because the light was pretty bright.

but he eventually fell asleep.

bill was already up and ready for the day.

stan was still asleep because he couldn't sleep last night.

bill looked over at stan and sat down on his bed.

"stan?"

stan groaned a little.

"oh uh hi bill."

"good morning."

"good morning."

"you ready to g-get up?"

"yeah just a moment."

"okay."

bill got up.

"i'll be in the cafeteria."

"okay, meet you there."

bill walked outside.

bill closed the door carefully behind him.

he walked to the mess hall.

when he got there he saw the group of people he sat with last time.

he sat down.

"hey hey hey bill!"

richie said.

"hi."

"what's up?"

richie said.

"uh, n-nothing much."

"hahah, okay then. why don't you sit with us?"

"that was my intent."

bill sat down.

"wow! you're using big words. that's pretty cool you must be a genius."

"uh... i mean i-

"where's stan?"

mike asked.

"uhm, he stayed at the cabin because h-he couldn't wake up."

"that stupid little stan."

richie said.

"well dang, don't got to be so harsh."

mike said.

then beverly appeared out of nowhere.

"hey guys."

they all said hey and hi's to her.

"sorry jane couldn't make it she's hanging out with her little sister."

beverly sat down next to bill.

everybody continued talking.

beverly looked over at bill.

"hey bill."

"hi..."

"how are you? did you sleep well?"

bill nodded slowly.

"where's stan?"

she asked.

"uh, he stayed at the cabin."

"oh okay."

there was an awkward silence.

beverly saw stan walking to the table.

she quickly looked over to bill.

"oh bill, you're hair! it's so messy."

she started playing with it.

stan looked over at them.

"geez do you brush it?"

beverly said.

"i do, but not today."

"awh, haha it's okay."

stan looked from a far.

that stupid beverly was dangling bill in front of him.

and he could solve this all by himself.

he'd simply go up there, eat normally, and be friends with them all.

but this was stans world, and what stan would do is just go back to his cabin and cry.

stan bursted out the door.

was he really crying over a boy he just met?

i mean what's so special about him?

he's just like everybody else.

just nicer, and i really felt a connection with him when we met.

but i don't know what's in him that makes me sad when he's with that whore beverly.

stan ran to his cabin.

he got in bed and started to sob.

all the way until his pillow drained in tears.
