Being a 'thing' ?

* Ashley's pov *

" hey! you cant just walk in and take out backpack!" i yell.

he ignores us and goes out side in puts echo in the truck.

" no,no,no!" munch yells while he runs outside.

" munch! come back!" i yell i get up to chase after him and he jumps in the back of their truck i was about to do the same when i felt a pair of arms around me holding me back from running any further.

" Ashley, please don't." it was Alex

i was hitting him to let me go. kicking and punching, i had to go go after him!

" its okay." Alex said while rubbing my hair. i sniffled, i hadn't realized i was crying until now...

" we have to follow them. we have to get munch back"

we ran to our bikes and started following them. Alex was riding in the front with tuck and me and Emma were in the back talking.

" so, are you and Alex a ' thing ' yet?" she asked

i could automatically feel my cheeks heat

" Emma, i don't think we're are gonna be a 'thing'" i sigh. i want to but... with moving and all

" what?! why! cmon, is it because you think he doesn't like you back, i'll go right up to him and ask him for-" she rants

" what? no, Emma, its because we're all moving. he'es gonna move somewhere far and i don't even know where me and munch are going... i just- i think it wouldn't be fair for him for us to be a 'thing' and then move the next morning- which is in like a couple of hours." i say. Emma was quiet for a while.

" you guys could always do a long distance realation-" she starts

" Emma, we both know those never work out." i sigh.

" well, I'm still gonna do something with you two." she says then started to pedal faster to the guys

' wait, Emma!" i call but she already gone

i had faintly heard

" um Alex, i got to talk to tuck real quick, you could go talk to Ashley or something." she said

" but if it gonna be quic-" tuck says

" no, he gonna talk to Ashley." she said to tuck giving him a look

" oh! right, buddy, just go talk to her bro." he said winking

Alex started to slow down and soon was at the same pace as me.

" you know sometimes i wonder why we're even friends with them." he said chuckling

" huh yea, me to, its weird to think if munch hadn't taken robotics in fourth grade, we wouldn't have met tuck, or if i hadn't been the one the teacher picked to show you around the school in fifth grade, we wouldn't even be friends." i say thinking of old memerioes

i went to look up at Alex but found him already looking. we both blushed. he cleared his throat

" so Ashley, i have to tell you something..." he started. is he gonna...

"yea..." i push

" look, I've liked you for the past two years. your my best friend- don't tell tuck. but your such a goofball and your not afraid to be you.. i know I'm really shy and I'm bad at talking about this stuff but- just i know you probably don't like me back- but i had to get this out before we moved an-" he said

"Alex! i li-" i start but get cut off by tuck

" guys, they stopped." he said
