Mine Slanted Views
(On young people’s ignorance in today’s world)
did I not in
innocence think
everything was yin
and yang but now I blink
and see the world has many
colors its not just black and
white, I will not just let things be
or stay in this fairy-tale state of dreamland
The world is not always right
nor wrong but now I get to
choose what will ignite
my brain afire and anew
I used to see through
smaller eyes and peek
in a slanted view
made to do so with a meek
countenance by all
who are in charge
who make this wall
ignoring that which is at large.
One day it shall
bite them and they
will have wounds forever fatale
of horror, to this day
of how their ignorance bound
and hindered the growth
and chained all the young around
but they grew strong in spite of it

Ok I hate writing poetry! But I had to, for a class, so here I am. My professor really liked it, but was he bullsharkting me? Seriously people, I'd love to have some feedback especially comment form. I don't care really :) I'm cereal now, wattpad is like the best part of my day, in fact I'm suppossed to be finishing a term paper for said class a right now :0 oops...
