Chapter No.114. Trickery.

Look before you leap!

I decided to allow Molly, Margaret and Alexa time to see if they could determine how the last humans were able to thwart Tyco's influence. However, they were having trouble breaking into their computer system.

Some of the men and I assembled in the Black Hole bar to enjoy male camaraderie. I noted that Jessica and her staff of three were now attired in what I remember as a Hot Pants and cut-off blouse combo with go-go boots that reminded me of what the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders wore. I realized that none of these guys would be aware of that.

"I wonder if Tyco's collective allows males to drink beer," Barney said.

"I doubt it," I said. "He's not interested in relaxation and enjoyment."

"Whatever you do, don't let us fall into his hands!"

"We won't if I have anything to do with it. However, finding him is beginning to look like a wild goose chase."

"I'm sure he will attempt a direct conflict with you," Alex said.

"You're probably right, but it sure has been difficult to pin him down."

Jessica came over to me. "Molly has located a habitable planet that appears to be under attack."

I stood up. "Maybe this is it"

I teleported to the command deck. "Take us there, Judy. Put us in Yellow Alert. Inform the other ships to do the same."

"Yes, Jason."

We arrived at a G2 class dwarf star system with seven planets. The habitable rocky planet was 1.3 times larger than Earth and was obviously inhabited by an intelligent species, which was currently attempting to fend off an attack by Tyco's androids.

"I want three fighters from each of the other vessels to attack the androids on the ground," I said. "I want this vessel to remain in orbit to fend off any new attackers."

"We will, Jason," Judy said.

I teleported to the ground in the midst of the main battle between what appeared to be reptilians and a contingent of Tyco's androids. Fighters from the two Scath and one Myst ships arrived to attack the Tyco's fighters that were trying to land.

I stopped time and ran over to where the main battle was being fought. I started time for a group of reptilian commanders and me.

"I am not part of this attack. I have come to stop it. The enemy you are fighting is my enemy."

"How do you know our language?"

"You must be associated with Fist, the leader of the reptilians in our galaxy."

"Yes, we are."

"Well, we are part of the galactic coalition."

"How did you stop the battle?" one of the reptilians asked.

"I have the power to control matter and energy. It was given to me by the originator, which is the being that is composed of the multiverse."

"You must be Jason Star," another said. "We have heard of you."

"Yeah, that's me. I'll tell you what. I'm going to make these enemy attackers cease functioning."

I waved my hand and Tyco's androids soldiers fell down. All battle activity ceased.

But, one android was still functioning. I turned to the reptilians. "You had better take cover. This might get rather violent."

They didn't move, but the android approached me.

"You seem to be spoiling my fun much too often, Jason."

"You need to find a different hobby. Killing aliens is not tolerated in this Universe."

"They are my sworn enemy, Jason,"

"You'll have to go somewhere else to have fun. It won't be on this planet."

"Ah, but I have a surprise for you. I have an antimatter weapon headed here. You will be destroyed."

"Not today, my friend. I have made it disappear."

He looked up and shook his head before he vanished.

I turned to the reptilians. "I figured that he was going to do that."

"What about all of these androids?" one of the reptilians asked, gesturing to the large number lying on the ground.

A contingent of Scath approached.

"They will take care of them," I said. "Tell Fist that I'm out here protecting his assets."

They just stared at me.

I teleported back to the Explorer-2's command deck.

"He was an avatar, wasn't he?" Molly said.

"Yep. He's just playing this stupid game of his to try and catch me with my guard down."

"What about all of his androids? What do you want to do with them?"

"I think we should be able to convert then over to our collective once they've been purged of all of Tyco's nonsense,"

"We can do that, Jason," Judy said.

"Well, I suppose we should hang around here just in case."

No one objected. I wasn't sure what they thought of my method of dealing with Tyco's attack, but I felt it turned out good with very little loss of life.

I decided to go back down to the Black Hole bar in the conventional manner, but when I got there, the guys weren't there. Instead I found Jessica with three unexpected assistants, which I thought of as the Big 3 M's. Molly, Marie and Margaret were attired in skimpy costumes that were more like the original barmaid outfits.

"You gals are out of uniform," I teased them.

"We wanted to get a feel for what it was like to be sex symbols," Molly said.

"You're supposed to be hunting for Tyco's collective not down here being barmaids."

"We wanted to please you," Margaret said.

"Believe me, you please me by the fine work you're doing." I smiled. "But I appreciate your efforts to cheer me up."

Jessica brought a platter with four beers on it. The 3 M's took seats around the table I was at.

We each got a glass of beer. The women took sips of it as if it was something they usually do.

"We should have a bar just for us gals," Marie said. "We could be served beer by scantily attired male androids."

"That's a great idea!" Molly said.

I just gave them as smile. I realized that they were just teasing me.

It's too bad that we couldn't just have fun all of the time. Unfortunately, Tyco wasn't about to leave us alone.
