"You can call me the Angel of Death, because that is what I am. I bring death and destruction to my enemies," the figure said.

"And I guess I'm your enemy, then?" Azura was still on her guard.

"No, right now, you're my ally. I'm a deserter from the Skeleton General's army," they explained.

"How did you even get out?" Azura asked, lowering her blade but keeping it extended.

"Your portal made a great exit, especially since you closed it on your way out. I really should thank you. I wouldn't have been able to do this without you clearing out the angels," they told her.

"That portal was twenty feet in the air, how did you-" Azura was cut off as a red set of wings like hers appeared behind them.

"There's your answer. Now, will you help me, or not?" The figure asked.

"I will, only because I don't seem to have another choice," she retracted her blade and set it on the armor rack, putting on her lab coat.

She began walking out, and the figure stepped into the light, revealing that they were in a full-body suit of grey and black armor. They were about to head out of the lab when General Patrick walked in.

"Who the hell are you?" Patrick asked, drawing his polearms.

"Not your enemy, that much is certain. I come as a deserter from the Skeleton General with a peace offering," the Angel told him.

"What exactly do you mean?" The General still had his guard up.

"A deal, really. You allow me to fight alongside you, and I give you all the information you'd ever need to cripple General Naeus's army," the Angel of Death said, holding out their hand.

"Deal. But at the first sign of trouble, you're as good as dead," Patrick replied, shaking their hand.

"Of course... General," the Angel turned and walked away, their wings attatched to the back of his suit in a shield arrangement.

"You'll be in charge of keeping an eye on them, Lady Azura. I still don't trust them," Patrick told the Scholar.

"Of course, sir," Azura turned to her scientific instruments, messing around with them.

General Patrick, satisfied with the arrangement, turned and walked out. Lady Azura continued with her instruments, calibrating them and running baseline tests to make sure they were working. When she was done, she took a file from the counter and began to walk out. As she did, she slid in a liquid on the floor and began to fall, but something caught her. Azura looked back, seeing the red blades that made up the Angel's wings.

"Careful there, don't want to get yourself hurt," they said from the doorway.

"How do you get around so easily?" Azura looked at them as she got back on her feet.

"Simple," they said, before vanishing into a cloud of smoke and reappearing behind her. "I can make myself incorporeal for a short time. A power granted to me using the head of Herobrine, which General Naeus retrieved."

"I don't... I don't think I understand. But I also don't really care. Tell me, why are you here?" Azura looked up at the Angel.

"We're going to the Nether. Lady Stella needs blaze rods," the Angel told her.

"Right. Why us?" Azura wasn't ready to go back to that literal hell.

"Who else has the ability to navigate the Nether?" The Angel said simply.

"I suppose that's true," Azura sighed. "Not ready to delve back into hell itself, though."

"At least you won't be alone," they replied, their wings returning to the shield on their back.

"Let's see how you do in a fight," Azura said nothing more, just took off her lab coat, put on her flight suit, and walked out.

The Angel followed her to where Stella was waiting with a Nether portal. They tlooked to Lady Azura before deploying their wings and flying through the portal. Azura followed after quickly, but they were still quicker. They slowed to a stop and allowed her to catch up.

"Your propulsion isn't as efficient as mine. Exhaust can't be cleared fast enough and it's leaving gaps in the thrust," the Angel chuckled.

"I... wow, I never even thought of that. Thank you," Azura let out a chuckle of her own.

"Of course. We're on the same team now," they replied. "Stay close."

"Right," Azura replied.

The Angel began flying once more, weaving through islands of soul sand and netherrack. Azura followed, slower, but still keeping up. The Nether Fortress loomed in the distance, and Naeus could be seen with his guards on the edge of a platform overlooking the lava pools.

"Is that-" Azura started.

"Lady Abigail," the Angel finished, narrowing their wings and dashing forward as Naeus let the princess fall into the lava.

"Angel!" Azura shouted in frustration before realizing what was happening. She'd just drawn all the attention of every Netherkin around her.

The Angel, looking back, smiled slightly as he dove right into the lava. Azura looked on in horror as her teammate disappeared into the fiery pit, and locked blades with a wither angel. The wither Angel was able to get a hit off, ripping a gash in her arm. She kicked away from it, diving towards the ground. The wither angel followed her, but she was able to level out before she hit. The wither angel wasn't so lucky, slamming right into the netherrack ground, dying immediately. Two more wither angels were on her tail, and a ghast was right in front of her, fireball charging. She closed her eyes, prepared for an impact that never came. Instead, there was a huge gash across the ghast's face, and it fell to the ground before exploding.

"You looked like you needed a hand!" The Angel shouted, using their wings to shield her from the wither angels.

"What the-" she saw Abigail's body in their arms.

"The Nether Star was removed from her body. She's alive, but hanging on by a thread. We have to move fast. I got some blaze rods from the guards, so let's get out of here," the Angel said, and propelled two blades through the wither angels before flying off, Azura in tow.

The portal was visible in the distance, but they had too many Netherkin on their tail. The Angel smirked, flipping in the air and dashing towards them, before detaching their blades and flurrying them around. Several wither angels fell, and the others retreated.

"Go, they'll be back!" They shouted.

The Angel and Azura ducked through the portal, and Lady Stella closed it as they came out on the other side.

"Too close," Azura sighed.

"Is that-?" Stella started.

"Lady Abigail? Yes," the Angel finished.

"Why is she here?" Stella asked, clearly confused.

"She was purged of the Nether Star. She's hanging on by a thread. If you're going to save her, you need to act now," the Angel explained.

"Right. Tell me why I should-"

"Because you care about Rain," they interrupted her. "Abigail was, and still is, important to him. Especially if we get the old her back. It's a gamble, but it might just work."

"Alright. Lay her down," Stella sighed.

The Angel laid Abigail down on the stone floor, and the Enchantress knelt beside her. Her hands took on a green glow, and Abigail's wounds began to heal. The rough cut in her stomach began to seal, and her breathing began to even out. The Angel stepped back, watching as Stella worked her magic, literally. Soon, Lady Stella stood up, and they waited. Eventually, they heard a soft female voice.

"Where am I?"
