you watched the timer on your wrist carefully, the numbers going down, and down. second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day.

you'd been sitting this way for the past 2 days now. watching the timer go down. nervousness was something you were very familiar with by now.

" y/n, you've been sitting here staring at that thing for 2 days, you have to go out, " your roommate, yena groaned. " no, " you said with a tired voice.
she sighed. " come on, let's at least go get some coffee, besides, you have classes today, " she pointed out. you groaned. " fine then, "

-

" i'll take a black coffee, " you muttered to the barista. she gave you a look but nodded.
" that'll be 4.50$, " she said. you could hear in her voice how tired she was of this job.

" you can go wait for your coffee over there, " she said she motioned against the pick up place. you walked over there while watching everyone in the shop carefully. a lot of people seemed to be soulmates, and some were just friends hanging out.

" a black coffee for y/n! " a guy called out. you quickly went and took it before rushing out of the shop. your class would begin in 20 minutes and your university was a 10 minute walk away.

" why am i always late? " you growled at yourself. yena had classes too, but hers started 30 minutes earlier. you were studying design. your dream was always to become a clothing designer.

as a kid, you'd always draw dresses, shirts, skirts, basically almost every clothing item. you used to draw things like stars and hearts on them and then pretend that you were a famous designer.

the thought always made you smile, back then, everything was so easy. you didn't have to worry about some test, if you knew what some presidents last meal was or whatever. you just lived.

as you grew older, you obviously realised that life wasn't as amazing as it seemed. especially once your sister passed away in a car accident a couple of months earlier. since then, you'd lost almost all contact with your family. you had chosen to distance yourself instead of talking to someone, resulting in you isolating yourself from everyone.

-

once you reached campus your class were staring in 15 minutes. " damn, i must've walked fast, " you mumbled. as you were walking through the corridors there were people almost everywhere.

some girls were talking about a guy one of them had fucked, someone else talked about some music group named bts, and some were panicking about homework. a normal day in university for you.

luckily your classroom was pretty close to the entrance so the walk only took about 5 minutes. the room was almost completely empty when you entered, expect a few people. you sat down on your usual spot, in the corner. you immediately took your phone out and begun to scroll through instagram.

a lot of people were posting about that music group you'd heard people talking about.

it seemed like they were having some sort of fan meet in seoul. your roommate listened to them sometimes, but you'd never really given them a chance. you were more of a classical music person.
which a lot of people doesn't expect.

playing the piano was one of your hobbies, it always made you relax.

once you reached home, you looked at your timer again.

you groaned as you calculated that you'd meet your soulmate as 8 pm in the evening. " why not at like 12 pm? " you muttered.

after a few minutes of a debate in your head, you decided to go to bed because you knew tomorrow would be a long day.
