"I remember it being smaller" the youngest of the Gilmore girls, Rory started starring at the gigantic school sitting in front  of the three girls.
"Yeah and less..." Lorelai continued while titling her head
"off with there heads." Lavender finished "yeah" Lavenders mother replied
"what are you looking at?" Rory asked her mother.
"I'm just trying to see if there's a hunchback up in the bell tower. Lorelai replied.
Lavender snorted smiling at her Mother
Lavender always thought lorelai had a great sense of humour, she always seems to know how to lighten the mood.
"So how do we look?" Rory asked there mother nervously.
"You both look great" Lorelai replied smiling warmly at her daughters
"really?" Rory asks.
"Really. You are both amazing kids! You have earned this. You just go in there and show them what smart really is. I love you both. Call me if you need me." Lorelai replies smiling at both her daughters
"thanks mom" Lavender says while giving her mom a kiss on the cheek.
"You're kidding, right?" Rory questions giving her mother a look of disbelief.
"No call me if you need anything, I'm great at making up dirty cheers" lorelai replies chuckling slightly as see smiles brightly
"I can definitely vouch for that, remember that cheer you made up when clove and I said we wanted to join the cheer squad" Lavender laughed
Lorelai let's out a snort smiling even brighter at her daughter laughing along with her.
"You have to come in with us"
lorelais face quickly falls "Rory come on" she replies looking down at her outfit in horror.
"yeah I think I'd rather go in without her. No offence mom. But you look like a cow girl" Lavender tells her mother as she jumps out of Lorelais Jeep.
"No she's coming" Rory told lavender causing Lavender to roll her eyes. Rory turns to her mother "you have to meet the headmaster!"
"No" lorelai replies "I look like that chick from dukes of hazzard" lorelai try's to reason with Rory.
"This is our first day! Your not getting out of going in there with us." Rory states lorelai sighs knowing that Rory will not take no for a answer. grabbing her coat Lorelai exits the car Lavender sighs and starts walking behind her mother and sister.

As all three Gilmore girls stand in fount of the headmasters office door Lorelai turns to her daughters and gives them a small smile " you ready?" She asks
"Let's just get this over with" reply's Lavender sighing not looking forward to talking to the headmaster at all. That fact Lavender even got into Chilton still surprises her knowing that her record would definitely not be as squeaky clean and her sisters, and the last think is wants to do is say the wrong thing and get kicked out before she even starts.
Rory opens the door that leads to a small room where a secretary sits writing at her desk. The 3 girls walk in, And quietly make there way upto the desk.
"um. Excuse me?" Lorelai asks the secretary's head snaps up making the girls jump back slightly in surprise
"oh wow" lorelai starts sounding started "hi I'm lorelia Gilmore, these are my daughters Lorelia and Lavender Gilmore. I named the younger one after me. I was in the hospital all whacked out on Demerol." Lavender elbows her mother
"never mind we call her Rory but she'll answer to either one of even 'hey you' depending on the Is the headmaster here?" Lorelai rambles like a idiot causing Lavender to cringe. Lavender definitely knows where Rory gets her social skills from.
"One moment" the secretary replies making her way into the other room.
"See, that's  what happens when you go to bed with your makeup on." Lorelia whispers to her daughters Lavender laughs slight at this.
After a few seconds the secretary returned
"Headmaster Charleston will see you now" she told them as she made her way back to her desk.
"Miss Gilmore I'm Head master Charleston"
The head master greets the oldest Gilmore as the 3 girls walk into his office
"oh wow, It's so nice to meet you" Lorelia greets headmaster Charleston shaking his hand.
Lavender walks in looks around and sees her grandmother, Emily Gilmore sitting  on a chair in the corner of her office. Her eyes widened. Lavenders relationship with her grandma is interesting to say the least. Let's just say Rory is definitely the favourite. Not that Emily didn't love lavender very dearly Lavender was just not as easy to push around. She knew how to say no. And didn't care if it upset her grandparents. Lavender had opinions and wasn't afraid to share them even if they went against what her grandparents thought.
"grandma hi" Lavender starts causing her mother Lorelia to turn around
"Mom, what are you doing here?"
"I came to wish my granddaughters good luck on there first day of school" Emily replies standing up and walking over to the girls giving them both a hug.
"Girls you look wonderful in that uniform"
"Thanks" Lavender replies with a smile
"You didn't have to come all the way out here, mom" Lorelia says nervously
"Well this gives me a chance to make sure Hanlin takes good care of Rory and Lavender" she replied
"Hanlin's wife and I are on the symphony fundraiser committee together"
"Wow that's great' Lorelai says
"Your farther and I are golf rivals" adds headmaster Charleston. "We're still fighting to see which one's worse" he joked
"Oh yes, we're all old friends." Emily says with a smile
"Well there's nothing like friends especially when they're old, ones" Lorelai says awkwardly
"Well would you like to take your coat off and have a seat" headmaster Charleston offers
Lavender snickers a little at her mothers worried expression
"Oh no, I'm fine." Says Lorelai
"I'm afraid they were rather overzealous with the furnace this morning, it's quite warm in here."
"I like it warm"
"Lorelai, take off your coat and sit down." Emily told her daughter "your don't want Hanlin to think your rude."
Sighing Lorelai removes her coat to reveal her, questionable outfit. Denim shorts and a pink tye dye shirt.
"Laundry day" Lorelai tells headmaster Charleston who doesn't look at all impressed with Lorelais outfit.
"Hanlin, did you know that Lavender and Rory have a 4.0 grade average?" Emily asks Changing the subject
"I'm sure he does Mom"
"These are very special girls, you take good care of them" says Emily
"We'll do our best Emily."
"Oh Jeez, they won't be a problem, you know like two Honda's ya know, they're easy, just nice office." Lavender cringes as her mother babbles on she really doesn't know when to shut up lavender thinks as her mother sits awkwardly.
"Well I don't think we should take up anymore of Hanlins precious time." Says Emily and she makes her way over to Hanlin and gives him a kiss on the cheek
"Hanlin it was lovely to see you"
"Tell Richard ill see him at the club on Sunday"  he replied
"Have a wonderful day girls, I want to hear all about it." Emily says smiling at her granddaughters
"Do you need a ride or is your bourse parked out fount" Emily said to Lorelai
Lavender smirks at this comment
Lorelai stands up with a sigh rolling her eyes at her mothers comment.
"It was so nice to meet you" says Lorelia to the headmaster as she shakes his hand. "Have a great day" lorelai tells her daughters as she gives them both a quick kiss on the head
"Oh, you don't wanna forget your coat" says headmaster Charleston
"Oh no" says lorelai and she grabs it "the would be embarrassing"
Once Lorelai leaves Lavender is surprisingly revealed. Don't be mistaken Lavender loves her mother dearly but wow she can be embarrassing.
"Miss Gilmore" headmaster Charleston starts "would you mind stepping out for a moment I would like to talk to you and your sister separately."
"Not at all" Lavender replies plastering a smile on her face as she exited his office.
Lavender stood outside his office straightening her uniform feeling surprisingly calm.
After 10 minutes or so Rory makes her way out of the headmasters office looking visibly shaken. Rory has always been easy to work up though so Lavender wasn't worried.
Lavender smiles at her sister
"wait out here for me?" she asks Rory
Rory nods and Lavender makes her way into headmaster Charleston's office.
"Ah miss Gilmore, please take a seat"
Lavender sits down and smiles slightly
"You are obviously a bright girl miss Gilmore" says headmaster Charleston
"Yes I am" lavender replies confidently "however for the looks of it you seem to have a few problems with you teachers. Would you care to elaborate?"
"I guess i was just bored at stars hollow high. It wasn't challenging enough." Lavender told headmaster Charleston "I don't plan on being any trouble here at chilton however. I'm sure the work will be much more challenging so I will be occupied."
"Glad to hear it Miss Gilmore." The headmaster replied seemingly pleased with her response. Not many social activity's I see" he says looking up at lavender "I work at my mothers inn sometimes after school. But to be honest nothing really appealed. I was going to join the cheer squad but decided against it since I have little to none athletic abilities"Lavender told the headmaster
"Hmm, What are your aspirations?"
"Well, I would like to go to collage, Yale maybe? I'm not sure exactly what I would like to study though" Lavender sighs "I know I probably should know I mean Rory's known what she's wanted to do since the age of 3 but I'm just not sure just yet. hopefully with this new school I will be able to figure that out though."
"I've known your grandpa for quite sometime" headmaster Charleston began "In fact, I was at a party at their house just last week where I had the most delicious lobster puffs I've ever eaten, I'm very fond of them."
"Oh yeah I think I've had those at one of grandmas Christmas parties they are amazing"
Lavender replies a smile on her face
"None of this however will be of any benefit to you. Chilton has one of the highest academic standards of any school in America. You may have been one of the smartest girls at stars hollow, but this is a different place. The rules are stricter, the pressures are greater, and the expectations are higher. If you make it through you will have received one of the finest educations one can get, and there should be no reason why you should not achieve your goals. But as you are starting late and are not used to the highly competitive atmosphere there is a good chance you will fail. This is fine, failure is a part of life, but not apart of Chilton."
" I completely understand headmaster" Lavender said with a smile "And don't worry I do not intend on failing"
