What is this? An update already? Yes. I want to promise that this will keep up, but I just can't. But thanks to all of you who continue to support me. I feel like this chapter kinda jumps all over the place, but I always feel that way, so who knows. Sorry if it's horrible, but as usual, I hope you enjoy and I appreciate the feedback. Enjoy, my lovelies.

“Cassie, please talk to me,” Cortnee begged, her face etched into the perfect picture of concern and panic.

I tried to respond, to make the words come out of my mouth to reassure her that I would be okay, but they just wouldn’t come out. Instead, I continued to stare blankly at the ceiling, tracing the swirly patterns painted on it with my eyes.

“Please, Cass…” My roommate murmured, like a final, desperate plea. I thought for a moment, turning my gaze on her as I tried to force some kind of response out of my lips, but before I could actually form any words, a loud knock sounded from our door. The sudden noise caused me to start, my heart stopping for a fraction of a second as I nearly jumped out of my skin. “Finally, Cole’s here…” She sighed as she stood to let him in.

“You invited Cole over?!” The words burst from my lips before I had time to register what I was actually saying. Cort stopped dead in her tracks and turned slowly to face me, chocolate eyes wide, as Cole knocked yet again on our door.

“Now you decide to talk to me!” She threw her hands up in exasperation before continuing on her mission to let our other best friend in. “I had to invite him over, you wouldn’t talk and I didn’t know what else to do! I figured that maybe Cole would be able to help calm you down.” And with that, she pulled open the door to reveal a very frantic and disheveled looking Cole. His cheeks and nose were pink from the cold and from the looks of his clothes and hair, it seemed as if he had just rolled out of bed.

“What’s going on, what’s wrong with Cassie?!” He asked before either of us could say anything. Cort pointed in my direction and he pushed past her, running a hand through his messy blonde hair as he made his way over to me. “What happened, is everything alright?” Despite my slight annoyance with all the fuss, I couldn’t help but feel myself warming up at Cole’s concern for me.

“We had a little incident earlier tonight…” Cortnee told him, sending a worried look at me. I was still wrapped up in my blankets, lying speechless on my bed as both of them looked at me like some kind of science experiment gone wrong.

“What kind of incident?” He asked slowly.

“We went out to the club to try and get our minds off of everything that went on at the festival, and we ended up going back with these two guys to their apartment,” I couldn’t help but notice Cole stiffen as Cort mentioned Andy and Jeremy, “And it seems that one of the guys tried to…take advantage of Cass while I was in another room with the other guy…” she trailed off after that, gauging Cole’s reaction as he realized what she meant when she said that one of the guys had tried to take advantage of me.
