In 2000, Family Guy released an episode where Peter Griffon established a micronation called "Petoria". This evoked fear in the state of Rhode Island, and Peter Kirkland (our beloved Sealand) was temporarily banned from visiting the state. The similarities were just too much for the small state to handle; two fellas named Peter establishing their own nation.
