It was a warm, summers evening in Thunderclan camp. As Sandstorm padded up the high rock to sit with Firestar ( who was messily eating a ginormous rabbit) , she thought about the time when he had first come in to Thunderclan as a kittypet. She had teased and mocked him as an apprentice, but as time went by, she found that she loved him. " Hi, Sandstorm " , he said , disrupting her from her thoughts . " Hey " . " You want this? " he said through a mouthful of food , before shoving the rest of the rabbit in front of her . " Thanks " she said , devouring it three chomps. As she lay down on her side , Firestar looked at her. " Do you look like your bigger than usual?" " Well , I've been meaning to tell you. Firestar, I'm going to have kits." she purred. He gazed at her with his mouth open. Sitting down next to her, he started purring as she leaned into his side. Next to me, she thought, as she breathed in Firestar's warm scent, is the luckiest cat in the forest.
