The hustle of the morning traffic came through the window of the cab. I had been up all night trying to find a well priced train ticket and when I did it seemed too good to be true, but I bought it feeling confident. The drive to the station was quiet and relatively quick, but when we got there, the inside of the station was dead quiet. It was only me and the clerk at the desk. I showed her my ticket and she smiled, said nothing, and pointed halfheartedly toward a door to the outside. I walked outside and again, the area was empty except the train. I started to wonder why this place was so empty and if it was a good idea to get on this train, but in the end I decided to get on anyway. When I got on the train, it too was empty except one other person: a waiter in a tidy green uniform who was about my height. I walked toward him and showed him my ticket. He gave me a faint smile and said, "Welcome to the Crazy train!". Before I could laugh, he dissipated into thin air. The door behind me shut and locked. I started to panic. What is going on? I thought. Is this some joke? Then I heard the man, though I couldn't see him, and he said in a quiet voice that made all the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, "Welcome to Room One. You have two hours to escape.". Suddenly, the whole room flipped upside down and I fell to the ceiling which knocked the air right out of me. I slowly got up, dazed and quite worried. I looked around wondering if I was dead or something. On the ground around me were items that had fallen from the floor. At that moment, a book fell down and I looked up. There was the door which was still shut. So how am I supposed to get out? I thought. I started to try to get to the door, but I wasn't tall enough to reach it. And when I tried once more, I fell backward onto the book that had fallen down. I looked at the cover and it said, How to leave. I opened the book to its first page and found a small key. I got up to see if I could reach the door, but just as I got up the room flipped back right side up, leaving me on the floor, out of breath, again. When I got up, I walked to the door to check if I could unlock it. I stuck the key in and turned it. The door slid open, creaking, just enough for me to escape. I ran a couple of feet and looked back. I had successfully escaped. I breathed in the fresh air, but just as I thought it was all over, I heard the man's voice saying, "Welcome to Room Two. You have thirty minutes to escape."
