Spade Awards 2020

Apply here! (Rules, Prizes, And Rounds)

Thank you for showing interest in the First Annual Spade Awards! Here's a few rules you need to know before you apply for the competition.

Rules:

-No more than 3 submissions per author

-Must be a light novel or have some anime inspiration on some capacity

-Must be posted publicly for others to see (Preferably on wattpad)

-Must have at least 10 chapters released

-Maximum 10 books for each category

-All submissions for each category must be submitted with chapter numbers to indicate what parts of the story the judges and community should read in regard to the category you are submitting for (Maximum 5 chapters). All submissions that do not have chapter numbers assigned to them will be void. 

-Add the book to your reading list to receive further updates in the future.

-Follow the account

-Tag at least 3 people you know to spread the word

Prizes:

-Winner to be part of the Spadverse crossover

-Nitro service for the Discord server for the overall winner

-A special new cover for the winner

-An interview with the winner

-As for the best story overall winner, author can have the choice to be part of the main developing process for the future of Spade in Discord

Rounds and criteria:

This awards competition will be split into two rounds. The first round (Community Round) will be decided by the members of the community via a voting poll done in the Wattpad comment section. Authors can promote their stories for each category via a Promotion Message that can be DMed to this account and posted on a separate chapter. This'll be used to show the public why you should vote for this story in this particular category. Only 1 promotion message can be sent per author, per submission. One week will pass after this round has begun and voting will close. Round Two will then initiate.

Round two (Judging round) consists of the top three stories submitted to each category. These stories will be voted for by the community, and the judging committee will take these three stories and select one winner for the entire category. The runner ups will also be posted.
