"WAKE UP!"

I jolt awake, and groan at the sunlight coming from the window. "What?" I snap at Dani. She always was a morning person.

"We're going shopping. The fridge isn't gonna fill itself. Besides, it's like 10:30. I've been waiting for you to wake up for ages. I got bored." She shrugs.

"I hate you." I mumble before covering my face with my pillow.

"No you don't. You love me." She laughs. "Now get up and get ready. We're leaving in 20 minutes." She closes my door.

"Ugh." I slowly slide out of bed and shuffle to the bathroom that sits adjacent to my bedroom door.

I look in the mirror, taken aback by my reflection. My hair is a mess. I'm pretty sure there's dried up spit on my chin. I cringe to myself in discuss. No wonder I've never attracted any males. That's gross.

I quickly wash my face and brush my teeth. I brush my hair the best I can before throwing it in a messy bun on top of my head. I throw on my favorite Avenged Sevenfold hoodie, a pair of back jeans, and converse before making my way to the living room. "Alright, lets go." I say as I spot Dani on the couch.

"Let's hit the road girlfriend!" She jumps up and I follow her out the door.

We're at the grocery store and we've just finished grabbing everything we need for the next week. We decide to separate and get our favorite snacks for when we have our movie nights. Dani takes the shopping cart and we split ways.

I'm heading down each isle in desperate need to find the Nutella and breadstick snack packs. They're my favorite. I round the corner to reach the next isle and slam into something- more like someone, causing them to drop all of their belongings in the floor.

I reach down and immediately help them gather everything up from the floor. "I am so sorry, I should've been paying attention." I say as I stand and look up at the person. "Oh my-" I drop everything back to the floor and run away, leaving him in the dust.

I run out to the car and sit in the passenger seat as I call Dani.

"Yo, where are you? I can't find you anywhere." She says.

"I'm in the car," I respond, out of breath. "Dani, he's in there. E- Elias is in the store. I can't go back in there. I can't breathe. What am I gonna do? I can't - holy shit. I literally can't breathe." I pant.

"Tessa, calm down. You're having a panic attack. I'll be out there in a minute. Take deep breaths in and out. Four seconds in, four seconds out." She says.

"I can't!" I yell. "I can't fucking do this! I can't- he's in there! He's - oh gosh." I ramble.

"Tessa, tell me a story."

"What?" I ask in confusion.

"Tell me a story. Any kind of story. Tell me the cost thing that comes to mind."

"Umm.. I uh- one time when I was little, around four or five, I was running around in the backyard with my cousins and it was really hot outside. I was so overheated, so I ran up onto the back porch. Just to my luck, there was a full glass of soda on the table and it was full of ice. I grabbed it, and took a huge gulp. As soon as it hit my mouth, I spit it everywhere. Turns out it was my dad's glass of Rum and coke. I almost died that day." I let out a tiny giggle.

Dani laughs "That's so funny! I can't believe you never told me that before!" There is a moment of silence. "I'm on my way out now. Do you feel better?" She asks.
