I ran into Emma's room. She was crying into her pillow. I dared to wrap my arms around her. She hugged me back, surprisingly. I kissed her all over her face, and her tongue searched my mouth. I pinned her down, and we made out intensely.
"Eric- why?" she asked me. I looked into her eyes.
"I dunno... I made a mistake. I SWEAR I won't do this ever again. I love YOU and only YOU, Emma Leanne Nelson. You. You are mine," I slipped on her ring and kissed her hand, "forever. I swear. Now, will you marry me?"
She was crying now. Hard.
"Eric... I-I don't... I..." she ran out, frantically grabbing her purse and car keys. I stood there, dumbfounded and miserable.
