"Isn't it beautiful? It's calm but powerful, light as a feather, but can break cities! Foamy, but carries deep mystery's within itself... it's like we know it but there's more to it that we don't."
That phrase reminds me of her. I feel like I know her and we can talk to each other about anything for days, but it's obvious she had some sort of issue with her past. Something she's scared to tell me.
I reply,
"You sure you're not a poet?"
"Positive, I'm not all lot of things."
Your P.O.V:
I feel myself slowly falling into the self conscious black hole again. The one I was into for so many years.
I was immediately distracted by my stomach demonstrating to Luigi and I a mother whale in labor. Luigi asked,
"Hungry?"
"Y-yeah."
"Me too, I'll keep an eye out for any snacks or restaurants they randomly put in near by, okay?"
"I'll look too."
After a moment of silence I pull out my old IPodNano I got back in elementary school before my family went bankrupt.
Then I search in my pockets for my earbuds.
I plug the earbuds into the nano jack, put bothe buds inside, and what filled my ears was Rude by Magic which flooded old memories.
I began to hum.
Then murmured the lyrics.
Then whispered.
Then sang.
I got a tap on my shoulder. I turned to look up at Luigi. He was confused. I removed an earbud to listen to what he would say.
"Mind if I borrow a bud?"
I smiled sweetly,
"Not at all!"
I hand him the bud I removed which was coincidentally closest to him.
Then I continued to sing.
"You say can I have your daughter for the rest'f my life?
Say yes say yes
Cause I need to know
You say I'll never get your blessin' till the day I die
Tough luck my friend
But no still means no"
Luigi chimed in at the chorus. I silently took out my ear bud. He sounded actually like the singer. Its cute, he sounds smooth.
I put my earbud back in and we sang together. It felt much better to be in this world with him other than the quite one.
The next song was Surfin' USA and once again it was a song my mother used to play before she left. I started to remember our little dance we would do together and figured Luigi wouldn't mind.
I waited for the background to sing and then followed the steps.
The background continued to say,
"Inside, outside, USA"
One step in when they say inside then slide your other foot to meet together. One step outside then slide your feet together, then do baby steps until they finished saying U.S.A.
I followed to steps, stepping close to Luigi, stepping away, and little baby steps in perfect rhythm to the old song. After around the third time he joined in and we laughed a little, bumping into each other every once and a while.
Then came my favorite part. The background stops and they all join to say
"Every body's gone surfin'..."
I slid forward, right foot forward and left foot back. My arms flown to look like I was surfing and turned to Luigi, mouthing the words
"Surfin' U.S.A"
He smiled and laughed, I joined along with him. The song continued and we saw a little restaurant in the corner of the hallway.
"SANCTUARY!" I yelled.
We both laughed and stepped in, totally oblivious to the ominous scene the ghosts attempted to fear us with. We both were happy in each other's presence as the music made the room brighter and my feelings for him much higher. He seemed so reserved at first but now I can see him warning to me, he's letting loose all the barriers he's hid himself in for so many years I suppose.
