•How to Kill A Ghost•

Luigi's P.O.V:

I woke up and realized Y/N had gotten closer to me, we weren't cuddling, but she moved a little closer in her sleep.

Maybe I have a chance with her, but deep down,  I knew she could do so much better.

She flinched and took a deep breath, she was awake.

I closed my eyes, trying to look asleep.

She snapped his fingers near my face to see if I was awake, I stayed calm.

She inched closer.

Wait does she like me in that way? We haven't really talked for that long! Even with that statement, I would never leave this hotel if I couldn't talk to her after it.

Maybe she's afraid of something. Or maybe she doesn't wanna feel lonely anymore...,

Or...

She cares about me.

Could she know me better than I know myself? My pains, my feelings or heck maybe my multiple rejections.

I wouldn't ever be sure until I worked up the courage to ask.

But I had other things to worry about.

Like my brainwashed family.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by Y/N attempting to carefully get up, but I figured this would be a great opportunity to fake wake up. So I took a deep breath, squinted my eyes and "woke up."

We made eye contact and she smiled.

"Morning weegi."

I got up and walked to her, looking down because admittedly, most girls aren't anywhere near my height. She was about my brothers height, so above average anywhere else but the mushroom kingdom, because all three princesses tower above me.
(Authors note: The official Nintendo released Mario mascot costume is 5'11 so Luigi is most likely six feet. However, if you want something more specific, Mario's cannon height is 5'1, meaning Luigi's height would be 5'10)

I smiled.

"...hey."

We heard movement from behind us so we turned to see E.Gadd moving. He must be awake.

I guessed right. He slowly got up and smiled.

"Alright children! Time to go ghost hunting!"

We looked at each other and smiled. She replied with,

"Alright.. lets do this!"

I grabbed my ghost backpack and Y/N grabbed some essentials out of her normal boring one. E.Gadd also brought the old ghost hunting backpack which I'm assuming is for Y/N.

We walked out and immediately found a ghost. A simple soft one. I could easily kill it. But I figured this would be the chance for Y/N to practice anyways.

I quickly turn to Y/N.

"Okay flash the ghost with your flashlight by holding the on and off button and the letting go. Then suck them by holding the red button on the vacuum."

She nodded and E. Gadd handed the old ghost backpack to me so I can hand it her. We did so and she looked pretty confident with it on, but if she gets hurt in battle, that ghost is dying.

She walked up to the ghost and immediately flashed it no questions asked. Then she did something unlike any of my strategies throughout the year she ran to the side, spun quickly and slammed the ghost into the wall of E.Gadd's lab.

She slammed the ghost horizontally, like a baseball bat and the ghost was the ball.

I've never even thought of that.

I wonder if she's played baseball before.

She killed the ghost easily, and she did it much faster than I ever could.

She ran back to us, slightly panting.

"So, how'd I do?"

I looked at her and smiled.

"Incredible. You did incredible out there."

She looked down bashfully and smiled.

I love it when she does that.

E.Gadd chuckled.

"Great job out there kid! But be extra careful with my old machine there."

I turned to him.

"Actually I think we should trade because she's more efficient with hunting and she isn't scared."

He smirked.

"Be lucky I'm not giving her the Pultergust-400."

I cringed at that statement. That antique could kill her if she used it with moves like that.

(AN: The pultergust-400 was the original model back in the first Luigi's Mansion. It was more rectangular and would blowup if you over-heated the machine. They didn't use it for unknown reasons.)

I simply rolled my eyes at the statement.

He sighed.

"Okay you two, bring me back my ghost collection and make sure you take extra cash you find on the ground along with you, this hotel is loaded!"

"Sir, are you requesting we steal money from the hotel?"

"Absolutely! These guys are ghosts and they don't care about the money."

She shrugged. I had to intervene.

"Dad... w-what about my family?"

He laughed.

"Oh I almost completely and utterly forgot about your family!"

Y/N stepped in.

"Accidentally...or intentionally?

E.Gadd avoided eye contact.

"Anyway.. go save your family and my ghost collection!"

We nodded and headed off.
