Levi's pov

We have been on the road for most of the day. (Y/n) was asleep in the front seat and Hange was driving like the maniac she is.

I inhaled sharply and grinned as I could still feel the unbearable pain of the broken ribs. We went to the hospital but all the equipment have been taken out. "Oi.. Shorty snap out of it."

" What do you want glasses?" I replied annoyed at her eyeing her through the rear mirror. "Have you told (Y/n) yet as to why she happened to find you all the way in town Maria?" The crazed titan woman asked me raising an eyebrow.
I shook my head and grumbled " No.." I replied blankly trying to shake the feeling in my stomach when I think of (Y/n).

"Well, you better. She grew up in wall Sina and her parents were nobles. Also, she is one of the best-med students out there so we need her, but her mother and father never told her about Titans, or that there is more beyond the walls and nor did they about the walls. She was 10 when we were freed from the walls and by the age of 17, she moved as far as possible from town Sina to study medicine and to get away from her parents. So she doesn't take keeping secrets very well." Hange whispered.

I sighed as I tried to think. " Well I've tried to think about how I could tell her, but for some reason, I can't do it... Tch.." I was annoyed at myself and the situation I was in. Why couldn't Erwin have sent someone else to go and get (Y/n)? I just had to distance myself from the brat that's all, just for now. "Well I hope she will be okay with it, you two have taking quite a liking of one another" I stared at her coldly. "Honestly shitty glasses, just shut up you're making it worse," I said blanky as she nodded at me and kept quiet for the rest of the drive that was left for the day.

(Y/n) 's pov

It's been a tiring two days that's gone by, Levi was doing better my own wound is healing slowly, even Hange was quite. Slowly on the horizon, the top of the wall was exposed. Garrison and scout members on to look out the looked like tiny ants up there. The winter sun was high in the sky. The ground covered in snow and the air cool and crisp. People were on foot walking towards the walls. Some in cars and some on horses. The drive up to the wall felt endless like all twelve days combined into only fifteen minutes.

I have forgotten how enormous the wall was. The grey colour of the wall along with the snow had a dead look to everything. I sighed as we entered through the gates. Stopping in the middle of the town almost Hange got out. "I'm going to help get the citizens inside the wall. We must close the gate before the morning." And with that, she raced off to the wall. Levi and I got out of the car and a tall blonde male approached us. He looked familiar to me but all I could see was his bushy eyebrows. He had the wings of freedom badge on his green cloak. " Levi." He said as they saluted each other. Levi almost looked nervous, it could be the broken ribs that are causing pain.

"Erwin" Levi said blankly. "Thank you for returning (L/n) safely to us." I felt confused like someone or something kicked me in my stomach. "W-what?" I stammered as I looked at the raven-haired man that I have taken a liking to. "(Y/n) " He said but I held up my hand silencing him. "May I call you Erwin?" I asked the blond man standing by us and he nodded. " What's the meaning of this? " I asked trying to keep tears of anger inside, also I was sure my face showed my anger.

" Well, I'm sorry for any confusion (Y/n) I assigned Levi here to go and retrieve you from town Maria. Your one of the best doctors and one of the few that survived and we need you on the council." I looked over at Levi and sighed. " I know nothing about the council and no I have no interest to be on the council. I will be a doctor. I was already on my way here when I picked Levi up on the street..." A single tear ran down my face " Why didn't you just tell me?" I asked turning to Levi he just made his 'tch' sound pulling up his shoulders.

" I thought you'd say that. So then you will join the scouts as we need a doctor when we're at the headquarters and when we are out on the fields." I nodded as I agreed with him and walked with him leaving the shorty by himself.

A few hours have passed. Most old scouts joined the scouts again. Erwin told me I had training in the morning. I was shown to the infirmary and was shown to the room that would be mine along with an office and a small library full of medical books. I was looking at the books as I heard a knock on my office door. "It's open," I said loudly and eyed a certain male as he entered.

"We need to talk," Levi said as he looked at me. Shaking my head I opened the door again. " I'm sorry but you had more than enough time to have said anything if you wanted to. I want you in my infirmary by 6 tomorrow morning please so I can take some X-rays." I then gently shoved him out the door " Now please leave me alone" I said to him as I closed the door and locked it. Turning I leaned against the door. It was a few seconds before I heard his footsteps fading.

I felt overwhelmed. This was all still new..and happening so fast I had no idea what was in store or expected of me. I sat down on the floor as I hugged my knees to my chest.

Even after my parents died and even after making some friends and acquaintances I've never felt more....
