I. A. I. 4 - SHRINKING VIOLET
I'M AN INTROVERT, and right now, I don't know where I am?
All I know is that I'm lying down on a bed.
Wait, BED?!
"You're awake," I heard someone speak as soon as I opened my eyes.
Looking up at the ceiling, my eyes followed where the voice came from.
"Rise and shine, Miss Shrinking Violet." It's Zion.
I instantly met his gorgeous emerald eyes. Wow, I'm sure girls have fallen in love with those eyes of his.
Except me. I just plainly admire his beauty. Anyone's beauty.
"Shrinking Violet?" I frowned.
He chuckled.
I stiffened. "Um...?"
That was something unexpected.
"Are you feeling better now?" Zion asks while resting his back to the chair he's sitting.
I nodded.
I don't know but I really feel awkward.
It was actually a big progress that I spoke two words: shrinking violet
"You almost passed out earlier." Zion stated, staring at me.
My face heats up.
Oh, yeah. Now I can remember how I got here.
A while ago, I was in the middle of introducing myself when I felt dizzy.
I wonder if I finished introducing myself?
Gosh! That's so embarrassing! In my whole seventeen years of existence, this is the first time this has happened. I was able to pass this routine before, but now I failed.
"You were looking pale. Miss Madeline got worried, so," he paused. "I volunteered to bring you here."
Zion began to stand up and exhaustively lay down on the nearest bed he could get which was beside mine.
His arms covering his 'Adonis' face which is facing the ceiling
I sighed.
"Miss Madeline thought you have serious health issues," Zion glances at me with a playful smile on his face.
Serious health issues?!
I shook my head with exaggeration. "No, I don't!"
Zion sat up from the bed, all his attention to me.
I was tense.
I feel conscious.
Not that I want to impress him. I just thought maybe he finds me weird and thinks differently of me.
Zion smirks, "I knew it."
My eyes widened when he suddenly moved towards me.
I immediately held my defenses while scrambling to stand away from him.
His eyebrow formed a line. Then he realized that I was actually in panic when he came forward to me.
Suddenly the room was filled with his roaring laughs.
He's crazy. I bet he really is.
"Are you serious?" He looks at me with amusement.
"S-serious?" I stuttered.
That made him laugh more.
Now, I'm extremely embarrassed. What did I do wrong this time?
"You truly are a shrinking violet." Zion smiled playfully.
"Look at your face now! You're looking pale again!" Zion shook his head. "You got too nervous, that's why you fainted.," he sighed.
I closed my eyes feeling uncomfortable.
"Calm down, Iris. It's just me. Plain Zion." He mumbled.
Plain? There's nothing plain about him. He actually shines bright.
Anyway, he did remember my name.
Zion neared me slowly. "I wouldn't know what to do if you fainted again."
I counted one to ten before regaining my composure.
"Sorry," I mumbled.
Zion was three steps from me.
For me, that's too near.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
I nodded.
"So, shrinking violet? Are we good?" Zion asked.
"I-I guess so."
Zion nodded.
"Should we go back now?" I looked behind him where the door is.
He turned to see where I was looking.
"Actually, about that," he began.
"Can I ask you a favor?" Zion eyed me.
I unconsciously looked around before saying, "sure?"
Can you pretend you're still not okay? Just for 15 minutes." He stated.
"Why?"
Zion looks down, then faces me with a bored look, "I kinda need some sleep. The classroom is too noisy."
I looked at him with a smug.
"Seriously?" I asked.
He nodded before laying down on the bed where he first lie down.
"Pretty please, Shrinking Violet?" Zion pleaded.
Who am I to disagree?
Besides, I gotta need some time alone to think through how to face everybody in our classroom. Especially Miss Madeline.
"Fine." I answered. "But 15 minutes only?!" I told him.
All I could get was his snore.
I rolled my eyes before going back to my own bed.
And that moment, I knew I will be called the shrinking violet from now on as an introvert.
