Airpods

I hate when my family has to split up on a flight. It's actually scary, I mean you're all alone in a plane and you don't even know who you'll be stuck with for the next few hours.. I just hope god decides to love me and give me someone who is quiet and does NOT wanna socialize. Ha ha ha. It's time to check in. Soon I'll see what my dream city looks like in real life.
"Here it is!" My mom said in relieve. I looked at my dad and I saw him mouthing something I think it was thank god. We checked in and searched for our seats. My mom sat a bit further away so it was okay. I could live with that but my dad was on a whole other part of the plane, at least I had my mom in my eye sight. I settled down and looked out of the window. My neighbour didn't arrive yet so the seat next to me was still empty. I hope it stays that way.. someone said through the speakers that the plane will leave soon. I plugged my earbuds in and listened to some oldies from my fav movie clueless.
Someone walked over to the seat next to me. "Please, don't let it be here, please." I whispered to myself. Oh boy was I lucky?
A teenage boy with brown curls. He sat down and held his bag on his lap. I smiled at him and he gave me a wide smile back. Okay but it could've been worse though. I got kinda uncomfortable so I turned my head down looking at my knees. I could feel he was still looking at me and he let out a little giggle.
"Are you alright?" He asked and I looked up immediately.
"Yeah, yeah I'm okay." I laughed and pulled out my earbuds.
"I'm shawn." He rubbed his leg.
"(Y/n). Nice to meet you shawn." I said and he gave me that kinda cute smile again. Not gonna lie he had something. The pilot said we were leaving so that kinda broke our awkward silence. After a while he spoke up.
"What are you listening to?" He said in a way that actually sounded like he was truly interested.
"Uhm.. I'm listening to some soundtracks from the movie clueless." I smiled.
"Rollin' with my homies, by Coolio is pretty good."
"You know that song?" I asked him surprised.
"My sister is also a big fan of clueless so I kinda know every song." He laughed and put his shoulders up and down.
"Secretly you're all into that movie." I teased him and he pinched my arm.
"Alright, alright maybe you're right.. but I'm not the only guy.. right?" He questioned and looked up.
"Ofc not! Why would you think that? I absolutely love cars, does that make it better?" He laughed and grabbed his phone.
"Wanna watch something together? I mean you don't have to it's just a question." He looked a little insecure.
"No no, please, I would love to!"
"Awesome! Here you have an AirPod." He said happy and he gave me his other AirPod. Remember when I said I didn't want anyone to sit next to me. Well, I couldn't wish for anyone better to sit next.
We watched some Netflix together but I could feel my eyes getting tired, I laid down on his shoulder and I could feel his arm wrapping around me as if I knew him for forever.
"I hope life brings us back together after this flight." I heard him whisper under his breath. I opened my eyes and looked at him and he looked back at me. I think he didn't expect me to hear that, I could tell because of the look on his face.
"Are you serious?" I kept looking deep in his eyes.
"I-I know that we met just a few hours ago but I feel something different which I can't put my finger on it so it's really new to me." His eyes still locked with mine.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" I smiled almost unnoticeable.
"The best."
