Darkness

That was the first thing she saw. Could she even count that as seeing? Maybe not. With her head in pain and her limbs aching, possibly due to not being moved for quite a while, she decided not to dwell on it further. For the meantime, she should probably tend to her aching head and rethink about her current situation. More so to know about her whereabouts.

Silence greeted her, aside from the slight sound of water dripping somewhere. Somewhere? She couldn't really tell. In a pool of water? A stone? Or the floor perhaps? She could really care less  with her current predicament at hand.

After a while, she finally regained her senses. Heaving a sigh, she took a deep breath and moved her sore limbs into a sitting position. At least now she no longer has to feel the hard ground against her aching head. She couldn't really say that it helped though, because moving from her recent position caused her to feel quite dizzy. She wished to hurl the contents of her stomach, but in doing so she felt the slight ache of her insides, and with a light growl coming from her belly, her thoughts have been confirmed. She was starving.

Although finding food was most definitely out of the question, even more so with eating. With her still being in complete darkness and slightly less pain, she has no other choice but to find a light source first. After a few minutes to allow herself to calm her nerves, she finally found the motivation to get up on her feet and find a way out of this never ending darkness. Well more so to her knees rather than her feet. It was complete darkness after all, she would end up further causing pain to herself. Whether it be tripping, slipping or scraping herself to the unknown surroundings. She would definitely prefer to steer clear away from any future pain. It would also be to her benefit if a situation suddenly occurred, so staying in good shape will be to her advantage. "Hopefully", she thought. Although she knew that it would take more than an unharmed body to move through.

After a while of cautious crawling, she still hasn't found anything to aid her with her search.  Aside from a few spiders and bugs crawling on her hands, which were placed on the floor. She was starting to lose hope when suddenly— "Ack!" She had hit her head on something hard. "A stone ledge perhaps?", she thought. She slowly yet cautiously stood up to inspect it further. "A wall?", she said surprised. Was she in some sort of house? It couldn't be, with all the dirt and pebbles she felt on the palms of her hands. Unless it may be one of those rundown houses. Shaking her head, no way it could be that, even if it was some rundown house there would still be at least a little light seeping through. So where in the world could she be? A room with only a door and no windows? Then how in the world did she get in here? "Where else is dark and filled with dirt and bugs?" she muttered lowly. "What if— No, I can't be..", she thought getting more and more dreaded by the truth. "How in the world did I get myself in here?" she muttered again, "Surely I wasn't that stupid to so willingly go in here alone. In a cave of all places!" she said quietly although getting louder with every word escaping her lips.

She couldn't believe it, no, she wouldn't believe it. Even if she didn't want to, she had no choice but to accept the truth. After reassuring herself a little, she decided to get a move on, and now with the wall there for support, she could finally walk properly in this darkness. It made her slightly at ease to know that she no longer had to feel the little critters crawling up her arms and legs. "It"s best to get a move on if i ever want to get out of here faster", she thought, calming herself slightly. With slightly more hope, she ventured cautiously into the darkness.
Using the wall to help guide herself in the darkness, she was feeling slightly more hopeful with her survival. "When i get home, i'm going straight to my bed, stuff my face with a little bit of food, and binge watch some anime," she thought, to make light of her current situation.

After a few minutes, she came to an abrupt halt, well more like, she didn't have a choice but to halt. Why? Well, because she forcefully impacted another wall. Rubbing her head, she continued on with her search. Despite her aching head, she forced herself to keep moving forward, she didn't know if she could stand this unbearable darkness any longer. That and there was the slight dripping sound again, but this time much more louder. She continued on with her search, and little by little, she finally saw some light.
