The Princess and Her Deer (A Charlie X Alastor Story)

The Next Day

The next day, Charlie was sitting quietly at a table near the bookshelves writing and keeping track of her guests.

As she was writing, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to find Alastor grinning at her.

"Hey! Alastor! what are you doing here?" She asked with a curious face.

"Pardon me, my dear, but I just couldn't help but notice that you're feeling down." Alastor said.

"Oh well, it's nothing to worry about!" Charlie said with a sad grin. At this point it was very clear that she was hiding something. Alastor grabbed a chair and sat down with Charlie.

"My dear, it is very clear that you're hiding something. Please tell me what is bothering you?" Alastor asked.

Charlie knew at this point she couldn't hide her feelings any longer especially after telling Alastor what had been bothering her.

Alastor stood up from his chair.

"My dear, it seems to me that you have some stress problems. So my advice to you is to take it slowly and don't give yourself too much work. That's why there are people who can help you with your work. They are known as workers or friends." Alastor said looking at her.

"Thanks, Alastor. This really helped me..." Charlie said with a small smile.

"My pleasure, my dear! Now if you would excuse me, I must run an errand." He said walking to the lift.

As Charlie watched him walked away, she couldn't help but wonder why of all people would Alastor come and talk to her. Maybe he was trying to do something nice or maybe someone asked him to.... As she was grabbing her things, she kept asking herself the same question and thinking of an answer to why he would help. Maybe he liked her. She paused for a moment, but that was impossible. She thought to herself. After all, she did confessed that she loved him last night. But if he did, would this be the reason he's been approaching her all this time? She stood there for a few minutes, but then simply shook her head and shrugged this idea off, and headed for her room.
