The Demon of Traps displays a myriad of devices used for torture and execution, however I'm unsure if he is Hell's primary persecutor. His realm was eerily quiet in contrast to the wails of pain that reverberate across the fields of fire. Instead his realm was bleak, dark, and blue. It was cold like the metal contraptions that scattered the enclosed concrete landscape. The only light came from lights that illuminated each contraption, and the forge that the demon used to concoct his creations. He explained to me that he started with the forge and over time constructed everything around him. He's never left this realm.
The demon's skin was a cherry red and he had a set of horns reminiscent of the typical devil illustrations found in books and paintings except he had no tail nor hooves. His skin was polished like elegant leather.
It wasn't long before the gates swung open and out of the darkness a confused, frightened, female soul cautiously entered. Her hands were clasped, hair ruffled and her clothes were tattered. She shuffled in and the gates closed behind her.
"Welcome human to my realm. I...am the Demon of Traps" he'd say.
The demon wasted little time and ushered her to this towering mega structure. It scaled so high, that I couldn't even see where it ended. I wasn't even sure if the structure was close to the ceiling or not.
The woman was silent and did nothing but stare at the grey floor. I followed the demon and the woman into the structure. It was a simple elevator and up we went. It was quiet about halfway up before the demon spoke.
"Ormus, you are very lucky to be able to witness this firsthand." he stated apathetically.
The elevator stopped, the doors slid open, and what I saw horrifies me to this day. It was a stark contrast to the waxed floors I was just standing on. A short walkway led from the elevator to the device itself. Up here it was dark. Upon taking my first step on the walkway I slipped.
"Careful Ormus. I do not want to clean the floors below again." The demon said before clicking his teeth at which point the walkway lit up with tiny lights that made it somewhat easier to see.
At my feet and strewn across the walkway were bits of human flesh, chips of bone, and blood. The smell was staggering. The demon led, I followed, but the woman reluctantly remained on the elevator. The demon walked aggressively towards her, almost knocking me out of the way and grabbed her arm.
She screamed and pleaded for mercy and he did not say a word. I hurried off the walk way and onto a platform. The platform was a triangle shape with the point aiming inward. There were four other platforms that sat parallel from one another with the same sharpened wedges, forming a star shape. Below the platforms was an array of machinations, gears, chains, etc. If anyone fell in they'd surely be grinded up.
"Ormus step off the platform. You're in her spot." the demon said dragging her over.
The demon strapped her feet onto the platform which kept her in a standing position. She apologized continuously as the platform lowered.
"This is the best part. Watch closely." he said.
The demon pressed a button on the console in front of him and the platform shot forward and the woman slammed into the opposite wedged platform. Her body ripped to pieces as the platform smacked against metal. The sound rang my ears and what remained of the woman were her feet and bits of leg.
The wedged platform slowly returned to us and raised up so we would be able to walk on it again. The Demon of Traps is cold, calculated, and has a fascination with machinations that induce pain and destruction. He does not frequent the earth nor does he possess humans. Though, he's stated that human creations do enough work for him.
